Scrapbooking and Event Planning
A few quick ideas for your next party!
How many of us take advantage of our “crafty” sides and create for different events in our lives? Do you make your own invitations for parties, make your own favors, or create a project for a loved ones birthday? If you are like me, you have great intentions, but not always the time to bring the intention to reality.
Several scrapbooking manufacturers seem to be getting on board by bringing event planning and scrapbooking even closer together.
This past weekend, I was participating in my local town’s craft fair and my 5 year old daughter, Lauren, was going to be helping me. I wanted to have a quick craft project for the younger crowd at the fair that Lauren would be in charge of. I had remembered several months ago that Creative Imaginations was releasing a new line called “
Creative Lifestyle”. They had these fantastic
round and
square white stretch bracelets that you could decorate yourself with
beautiful epoxy stickers. Of course, all kids like stickers and if you give a little girl a bracelet, you have a friend for life!

We set up the bracelets and the epoxy stickers in individual baskets to try to keep them organized by color scheme. As each little girl came up to the table, they were delighted to pick out several different epoxies to make their own creation. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of “tween” girls who lined up to make these!

The best part about this craft - they are a quick, fun, and a mess-free project!

K&Company is another manufacturer who is making party planning a little easier and hassle free. Have you seen the new
favor boxes in the shop? They would make the perfect container for your bracelets. The possibilities are endless!

Next time you are hosting a birthday party, participating in a craft fair or event around town, or just looking for a fun project to do with your kids or girlfriends, don’t forget to check out what scrapbooking manufacturers are putting on the market. You can still show your crafty side without a lot of time and effort.
