Mini purse album

Perfect for Grandma!

My sister made one of these cute little purse albums for my mom a couple of years ago.  They're the perfect gift for a grandma, aunt, sister, or Godmother.

Cut 12 pieces of cardstock (or your paper of choice)  2.5” high by 3 3/16th inches wide

Ink the edges, if desired.

Make your title page by cutting a contrasting piece a little smaller than your cardstock, ink, and adhere.

Embellish as desired.

To give cardstock stickers a little something extra, I like to mat them.  Place them on your paper of choice and cut around them

Leave a very thin bit of the underlying paper showing.

Ink, if desired.

Use a pop dot to give it a little extra dimension and adhere to the page

Remember, as you’re working on this album, all of the embellishments that you use have to fit inside the name badges. Though, if you aren’t worried about things falling off, you could put some of the embellishments on the outside of the name badge.  But, since we’re working on an album fit for Grandma’s purse, we’ll stick to keeping the embellishments on the inside

I like to keep my pages uniform in these little albums.  For the next pages, I put the next two pages together and adhered a circle.  Then, I cut the circle down the middle, splitting the pages up again.

Mat your photos, as desired and adhere to the paper.  Again, I kept the sticker in one piece until after I had adhered it to both pages, then I snipped it in half.

Embellish as desired.

Just repeat the steps until you have completed as many pages as you planned to have in your album.  I don’t recommend more than 6 badges total.

Securing the album together can be done in several ways.  Ribbon, jump rings, brads, etc.  I like the look of the ribbon

Thread the ribbon through one hole and leave just a little more than you thought you would need.  Thread through the other hole also.  Cut the ribbon a little long.  Tie once and almost complete a knot.  Thread any other desired ribbons through the incomplete knot hole.

Finish tying your original knot and tie each remaining ribbon once tightly.  This helps to keep the ribbons secure.  After some time in a purse, it begins to loosen.

These look so cute, but I didn't see in the instructions a materials list. What are the "badge holders" that she used? Can they be found at an office supply store?
