Meet zanettac

Get to know all about Carol

Meet Carol aka zanettac.  She is a regular poster on our message board and is about to give birth to her 3rd child.  In addition to being a wife, mom and scrapbooker, she is also a Biggest Loser.  She lost 70 lbs before becoming pregnant with her last child.  Wow!!  That is amazing!!

Here she is 37 weeks into her pregnancy:

Tell us about yourself and your family.

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY.  GO BILLS!  I moved from Buffalo to OKC in 1998 just after graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  My now dh was stationed at Tinker AFB.  We were married in 2001 and moved to FL.  
My little family consists of my dd Jillian...she is 6 years and is in 1st grade.  My ds- Jacob will be 3 at the end of December and is currently obsessed with Star Wars!  Lastly..our new bundle could be arriving any day now.  We decided not to find out the gender this time around and can't wait to meet our new little one.  We also have 2 furry cat children.  Gertie and Gizmo. 

How long have you been scrapbooking and what got you started?

I started scrapbooking in 2003.  I took SDU classes at my LSS...been hooked ever since!

What inspires you? 

My children inspire me.  

How do your family and friends feel about your scrapbooking? 

My dh thinks I have gone off the deep end...needing so much paper.  He's amazed at the stacks of paper I own.  The kids enjoy looking at their books and seeing themselves.

How did you find A Cherry on Top?

A good friend of mine told me about the site.  She's one of my favorite Lushes .  She kept telling me about the people here and the shopping.  I joined but really didn't get posting much until 2006. 

How long have you been a part of the ACOT community? 

 I  joined in 2005 (I think)..just before moving to Ohio.

How did you pick your screen name? 

 In high school I was in the musical The Music Man.  I played the character Zanetta.  When I signed up for my first e-mail account I could have just zanetta...so I added the C for Carol...zanettac.

Do you have a favorite manufacturer/product line?

I love Doodlebug and Fancy Pants!!

What scrapbooking item can’t you live without?

I have an addiction to embellishments.  I mostly hoard them!!

What is a favorite technique that you like to use?

Not sure if I have a favorite technique...but I do like to try new things!

When and where do you create your layouts?

I have a scrapbook room in our loft.  The kids have 3/4 of the room for their playroom and the rest is for me.

What is a favorite layout of yours and why?

Love this picture of my little man!!

How would you define your style? 

Very simple

What is your ultimate goal in scrapbooking? 

To make books that I am proud of.  Something that I can pass down to my children when they are old enough to appreicate them.

Any other hobbies?

Exercising.  I lost almost 70 lbs between January 2007 and March 2008 (when I got preggers).  I get very crabby when I don't get to exercise!!
