Cards and Crafts make the Holidays Beautiful

December CT Spotlight

The holidays are always such a busy time of year! The hustle and bustle of gift buying, partying, wrapping and celebrating, can leave us all feeling a little overwhelmed. But, if you've got something beautiful decorating your halls, you're sure to find that holiday spirit again every time you look at it! This month, the CT would like to highlight some spectacular holiday crafts and cards.

LET IT SNOW by JenniWren32

Jess (ScrapGoo) says, "I absolutely adore this altered wooden decoration from jenniwren32! The berries in the background, the sign holding the adorable photo, and the sweet bright colors all make this a fantastic project!"

Sara (Keling) thinks this is an adorable holiday decoration! I love the dimension the berries add, and that Penguin is too cute!

Angela (bluejeans7) says, "This altered wooden decoration is the sweetest. I love the bright colors and how she added a photo on it."

Pam (4peasinourpod) says, "I often peruse this gallery for fun and gorgeous altered projects...she does amazing work, and this is a perfect example!"

Cindy (kimandasmo) just loves this- so cute and adorable- what a great way to display a holiday photo.

Beth loves how original and fun this is. The products used, all of the details and the gorgeous photo make this extraordinary in my opinion.

ALL IS CALM Card by Rebecca B

Laura Fiore says, "The decorated chipboard is so bright and festive...goes perfectly with the sentiment on the card!"

Angela loves the pattern papers she used for this Christmas card and how she decorated the tree with rhinestones.

Pam says, "Cards are so difficult for me, but she makes it look SO easy! The card is fabulous!

Beth says, "I love the pretty holiday colors, the decorated chipboard and all of the details she put on the card."

Sarah loves the mix of papers and the decked out tree! Awesome card!

Laura says, "Terrific, bright, cheery colors! Love the layering, too!"

Kathy says, "The jeweled tree is so cute & I like the use of felt for the tree's base - fun mix of embellishments!"

Ronny thinks this card is Too fun! I love the texture, especially the tree and how it's set in the felt.

Karin (mayerkt) says, "Beautiful sparkleiciousness!! LOL :) I adore the glitter tree and the bling decorations - makes me very happy and festive!"

HYBRID STAR ORNAMENT by skyezak

Tracy thinks this must be beautiful hanging on the tree!

Janell (janello) says, "What a beautiful ornament and I love the swirl patterns in the paper and the intricate edges of the star."

Laura Fiore thinks the lace trimmed edge on this ornament make it so pretty...that's a great detail!

Susan (suslvgeo) says, "Love the tassles on the ends. Great job!! "

Kristianne says, "this is a fabulous and easy project to create with both paper and digital papers! I love the ribbon edging she added."

Pam says, "I WANT this! I adore stars, and now I have the idea to decorate my whole house!"

Altered Ice Skate Box by Melissa B

Ronny says, "Beautiful, the way the paper is placed on the iceskate really adds dimension. And love the sparkles, berries and foliage."

Karin says, "OOhh! Love the use of an ice skate as the focal image here. Beautiful box!"

Tracy thinks this is so beautiful. She loves the glitter.

Janell says, "I love all the glitter and those adorable ice skates, the gingham ribbon adds the perfect wintery touch, such a cute box!"

Jess (ScrapGoo) says, "The details on this are amazing. I adore the sweet lacing, the bell, and all the shimmer on this! "

Susan thinks all the details on this are FANTASTIC. From the stitching on the skate,to the bell to the snowflakes, the whole thing is wonderful!

Kristianne says, "I love the ice skate decoration and how the box looks like it is dusted with snow."

Angela says, "Wow what a beautiful altered box! I love all the extra detail work that went into this project."

Pam says, "Absolutely GORGEOUS. The jingle bell hanging off the ice skate totally rocks!"

Laura Fiore is amazed by the details Melissa has added...the stitching, the beautiful "snow" and the ribbon layered with pompoms are all just awesome!

Advent Calendar by Bellaconsmom

Pam says, "I LOVE what Claire did with this Karen Foster Advent Calender! The fun and whimsical Doodlebug is perfect. I am sure her children totally adore this!"

Cindy loves all the little elements on this. Very festive and fun!

Beth says, "I love the pretty colors and design of this calendar. What an exciting way for her kids to countdown to Christmas!"

Sarah says, "Super, duper cute calendar! I think the papers are great and love how some of the embellishments cover more than one box."

Laura thinks this is such a cool idea! Plus, I love the bright colors and the way each number is a little different!

Kathy says, "This is AWESOME! I like how she used the candy canes to overlap onto multiple drawers and how every drawer is different yet they all coordinate with the same line!"

Ronny says, "So fun, great festive colors and it's really neat how the numbers are in different sizes and fonts."

Karin thinks this is so pretty and festive, and that all the coordinating paper is beautiful!

Tracy says, "What a fun way to count down the days until Christmas!"

Janell says, "What a cherished advent calendar this will forever be. I love all the patterns and traditional Christmas colors. This is incredible!"

SANTA CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT by JulianaM

Susan says, "SUPER CUTE!! I love the curled edges and his beard is wonderful!!"

Kristi loves this little guy, the patterned and textured paper look Fab!

Laura Fiore thinks Juliana has outdone herself with this fun Santa ornament...and wants to try this with some of her own old ones!

Tracy says, "This is just way too cute! I love how she made the beard."

Egle says, "What a neat gift to make and receive. All one needs to do now is add pictures....and he/she is done!"

Ronny (smiley-scrap8) thinks this is a wonderful gift, very creative to use the cool winter colors with the snowflake and snowman.

Pam loves the nontraditional colors. Someone is going to be extremely happy with that as a gift!

Beth says, "I love how she used Green and Blue instead of traditional colors. It makes it more modern and I love the idea of giving it as a gift."

Sarah says, "The crisp blues and greens are some of my favorite winter colors! Love how she incorporated them in her album!"

Laura Fiore thinks all of the details that Day has added to this mini album are just fabulous!

Kathy says, "Pretty album - I like the mix of flowers & ribbon to add dimension!"

Janell LOVES the cool wintery colors for this word album, such fun embellishments too. Very beautiful!

Susan says, "LOVE the unique colors she used for a Christmas project! "

Kristianne thinks this is a beautiful word book in lovely colors.

THE HOME OF SANTA by Fabinou

Angela says, "I totally love Santa's house! There are so many great little details on this house, my favorite are the candy canes."

Cindy loves that Santa is sneeking out from behind the door. There are so many fantastic embellishments on this house that just make it over the top wonderful!

Beth says, "Wow! This is an amazing creation. All of the details and time really paid off. It looks wonderful and I love that door opens!"

Sarah says, "Wow! What detailed work!"

Laura thinks the detail on this is FABULOUS!

Kathy says, "What a great mix of embellishments - I especially love the gingerbread man & the chimney - so cute!!"

Ronny says, "Too fun, those candy cane fence pieces are so cute and the snow is a perfect touch."

Susan loves all the extra little details she placed on the house...especially the Santa peeking out the door! "

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES ALBUM by Janshotgun

Laura says, "I picked this because I love the mix of patterned papers and it is as gorgeous on the inside as it is on the outside!"

Jess loves the old photos and the slightly muted colors she used... this is well done!

Susan thinks this is an adorble mini album!

Sara says, "Jan's patterned paper choices on this are awesome, and the embellishments are perfect!"

Laura F. thinks that Jan is very good at taking an online class and making the project her own. She made several of these Maze albums and each one is awesome!

Kathy likes all of the matching colors & embellishments and how she used the vintage photos - what a meaningful gift!

Ronny says, "Fun! I love the stars and the pretty red and green ribbon."

Karin says, "The thing that stands out the most on this album cover is the fabulous fonts / alphabets. Sooooo cool!"
