Ok ladies, here is something new for you to try in digital. This is a tutorial that will take your photos OUT OF BOUNDS.
I will be taking this photo and showing you have the process goes and in the end you would have this

And how you might ask. Well here is a step by step to do this in photoshop.
Step 1: Open your photo and make a dulipcate layer. Rename your original layer Original and turn this layer off (make it invisible on the layer palette)
Step 2: Extract the portion of the photo you want sticking out of the frame.

Step 3: After you have done the extraction turn that layer off and turn the original layer back on. On this layer you will use the tool to draw a rectangle the size and shape you want the new photo to be. Pay attention to what you are including. I like to overlap alittle on where the extraction starts but very little.

You will notice that my rectangle is out of shape a little. I did this by going to IMAGE > TRANSFORM > PERSPECTIVE and then grabbing the upper corner and dragging it in until you like the shape. This will make the image look like it is laying on the table. This is not something you have to do but it does look neater.
Step 4: Select the new shape you have just drawn (use the magic tool and choose it - it may tell you to simplify it but once you choose ok it will select it). Now choose SELECT > INVERSE and hit DELETE. You will have this left. Once you have done this you can turn off the recantagle layer or delete it.

Step 5: Add a frame around the photo area from Step 4. Make sure that if you changed the prespective of the photo, you also do this to the frame. Also make sure that the frame layer is below the extraction layer.

Step 6: Now turn your extracted layer back on and you should have you Out Of Bounds Photo

I hope that you all think this is as fun and neat as I do and if you have any questions please feel free to PM me - mkcdaisy.
