As I was browsing through my photos the other day, I realized the astonishing number of photos that I take when I go on vacation. How many is astonishing? During my families annual trip to Cape Cod in July, I average about 1,000 photos for the week. When I get home, I definitely edit and reduce that number. Even if you delete half of those, that is still a lot of photos left to scrap! For this reveal, my goal was to scrap as many photos as possible from my recent January vacation to Cancun Mexico. There are so many lines that can be used to scrap all of your travels. I chose to use Making Memories Passport Collection, Creative Imaginations SeaWorld Collection, with some Basic Grey and Little Yellow Bicycle added into the mix!
One of the challenges I have with vacation photos is that I snap a lot of landscape photographs. They are always horizontal photos that I have a harder time cropping because I don't want to lose much of the image. For this layout, I decided to print out 3 landscape photos in a 2.25" x 7.75" size. This size allows you to scale down the photograph without losing too much of the image.
As soon as I saw the Making Memories Passport Stripe paper, I knew I had the perfect backdrop to create a layout with several rows of photos. By printing all of my photos at 1.75"x1.75", I was able to include 17 photos that helped to tell the story of the trip. The first group of photos are shots I took around the hotel. The second group of photos were all shots taken at the beach and the third group of photos are all shots of our friends that were also on the trip.
One of the most memorable parts of my trip was swimming with the dolphins. My husband and I had an extended trip to the Aquarium in Cancun where we were introduced, swam, got kisses, and did a foot push with the dolphins. The adventure only lasted an hour, but I've got the DVD to watch over and over! Imagine my excitement when ACOT coincidentally added the new Creative Imaginations SeaWorld line that highlighted dolphins shortly after I got home! Beautiful papers, rub-on's, and stickers were all available to display my dolphin photos!
