   My name is Cortney and I have been scrapping for nearly 3 years now - the beginning of my love affair with this hobby coincides almost perfectly with the birth of my son.  Before that time I was a Veterinary Technician and Animal Behaviorist, a job I absolutely loved, though not quite as much as I now love being a stay at home mom!  In addition to scrapping I love to run, read, play with my camera, cook, and sometimes bake.  In college I majored in biology and evolution and I am a self proclaimed green living activist and nature lover who loves to take hikes and nature walks any time of the year.  I am also something of a ballroom dancer - my husband is a professional composer and pianist and he and I met on the swing dancing circuit where we used to teach classes - though we haven't had as much time to devote to that hobby as of late (meaning, in the last nearly three years, of course).  And that, for the most part, is me!

Family members:  My human family includes myself, my wonderful husband, Jon, and our son, Calvin, who turns three in June.

Pets:  Our furry family members are Moose, our dachshund, Ollie, our lab mix, and Cookie and Oahu, our two cats.

Favorite television show?   We don't watch TV.

Favorite movie?   Meet Me in St. Louis

Name 3 of your favorite candy bars.   I don't really like candy, but I am very fond of a bit of chocolate with nuts or fruit!

Name 3 musical artists you enjoy.   Oh, I can't pick just 3!  I love music and live by it - we always have music on in our home, be it classical, pop, rock, hip hop, rap, you name it, and we love to scout out new and unheard of artists, so maybe Mario Spinetti, or Ben Folds, or Nas, or Rob Thomas, or Kanye West, or...

Favorite (NSR) store to shop?   Any small, local book or toy store

Favorite (NSR) magazine publication?   National Geographic

Name 2 of your favorite colors.   Hmmm... if I have to pick just two I'd probably say greens or oranges right now

Favorite thing to do with your family?   Go to the zoo or out for a hike

Favorite thing (non-scrap related) to do without your family?   Run or read

What's your favorite scrapping tool to use when scrapbooking?   Probably my craft knife - it's the tool I reach for most.

Name 3 of your favorite SB companies/lines.   Hmmm...Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye, and Crate Paper come to mind first...

Name 3 of your favorite embellishments to work with.   Probably flowers, chipboard, and buttons

What are your favorite adhesives?   3M tape runner, and definitely pop dots

What is your top two fave holidays?  I just plain love holidays.  All of them.  I guess if I have to pick it would be Christmas and Easter.

What's the one thing you must have readily available when you sit down to scrap?   My iPod!  Oh, and pictures, trimmer, adhesive - I lay all of those things out before I start.

What would you like the ACOT members to know about you?  I am a dedicated mother, wife, and environmentalist who aims to lead the healthiest and happiest life possible!
