APRIL Creative Team Spotlight

Spring Beauty at it's best!

Beautiful work, beautiful techniques, beautiful photos are all highlighted in this month’s Creative Team Spotlight. The gallery has been bursting with spring beauty and we just couldn’t wait to share some of our favorites this month with all of you!

 

Flirt by TriciaS

 

Was chosen by Jess (scrapgoo). Jess thinks this entirely hybrid LO is amazing and really shows all that you can do with mixing paper and digital.  The colors are awesome and all the texture really makes this LO pop!

 

Angie says,  “This hybrid LO is AMAZING!!!!”

 

Kathy's eye was immediately drawn to this layout in the gallery.  She comments, "After seeing this layout, I feel like I NEED that kit!"

 

Sara says: "I really love the bright color combination!"

 

Janell says, "This hybrid layout ROCKS! I love the bright fun colors and the distressed edges!"

 

Cindy thinks this is an amazing hybrid layout...she really love the colors.

 

Ronny is wowed by the bright colors and great design of this layout! The texture here is wonderful especially with some of the elements popped up. Beautiful page!

Pam LOVES the sweet femininity of this layout...from the gorgeous photograph, to all the earth tone elements and it's classic design.

 

Beth loves the blue and orange colors of the layout along with the fun design.

 

First off, Sus loves the colors! All the torn edges and layering truly make this layout standout!

 

 Diane loves the incredible pop of color that this layout has along with all of the fabulous details!

 

 Laura loves the complementary color scheme and the way the photos lead your eye through the layout!

Was chosen by Angie (nun69). Angie says the dreamy effect and journaling are simply STUNNING!

 

Jess says, "Wow, this truly shows the beauty of digital design... this is so ethereal and magical!"

 

Laura F. thinks this layout is just precious! She loves the way the photo peeks through the cloud and the starry embellishments are beautiful.

 

Kathy says, "This layout looks like it belongs on the cover of a whimsical children's book - it's GORGEOUS!"

 

Sara says: "This is just so different! Very cool!"

CHEERS by Jules in Paradise

 

Was chosen by Laura Fiore, who LOVES the fresh summery colors on this one. That white title really pops off the page!

 

Kathy saved this layout when she originally saw it in the gallery because she likes the mix of elements, and thinks the overall design is just AWESOME!

 

Sara says: "Wow! This just jumps out at you!"

 

"The white chipboard alpha on the bright colored paper really draws your attention and holds with the fun theme and pictures," comments Janell.

 

Cindy loves the bright colors and the big title.

 

Ronny just loves this layout. The title work is sooo creative and she just loves the giant paper clip. Too cool!

 

Pam thinks this layout rocks...from the great pictures, to the perfect color choice, to the phenomenal choice of letters/title.  Amazing!

 

Beth thinks the papers and colors Jules used really gives the page a tropical feel and I can almost imagine having a drink with them.

 

Sus thinks the big title in white lettering really makes this page POP! She loves the added ric rak and flowers!

 

Diane loves the bright and bold color scheme to highlight the fun photos!

 

 Laura is drawn to this layout by the raised title letters and says the way the photos are angled really gives a feeling of liveliness.

 

Jess thinks this layout is so fun and "cheer"-ful and that the large white letters really look fabulous!

 

Angie says these colors are fabulous and the title says it all!

 

EASTER 08 by HappayScrapppay

 

Was chosen by Kathy (katarria). Kathy loves the way the blue flowers pop on the soft mix of colors in this layout!  She plans to scraplift the overall design, using similar trim & ribbon as edging on a layer of patterned paper!

 

Jess loves all the fun trim on this, especially the ruffle!  The colors are perfect for Easter.

 

Angie says she LOVES the little crocheted flowers. Wonderful touch!

 

Laura F. says, “The design on this Easter layout is so cool! I love the way she used the diecut paper on the bottom!”

 

Sara says: "Very sweet! The soft colors are just perfect!"

 

Janell adores how sweet the elements are with the flowers and the buttons.

 

Cindy likes the softness and thinks the added flowers along with ribbon add just the right touch.

 

Ronny smiles when looking at this layout. The soft colors really show off the photos and the fabric elements are perfect.

 

Pam loves all the little touches in this layout, for the homey, family style.

 

Beth loves all of the trims and flowers added to the page.  They really make it look pretty.

 

Sus loves how the patterned paper used is a more muted tone, which really makes the pictures on the layout shine!

 

 Diane loves the beautiful photos and all of the different textures and embellishments used throughout the layout.

 

Laura finds the crinkled ribbon and lace an elegant way to frame this grouping of photos.

Was chosen by Sara (keeling), who says, "The awesome richness of the colors totally draw you in to what is really a brilliant photo!

 

Janell loves the energy and happiness that shines from this layout, the picture, colors, and whimsical elements all come together for one powerhouse layout.

 

Cindy loves that you are drawn right to the photograph on this yet there is such amazing bling. Great job!

 

Ronny thinks this layout is so much fun!! What great colors and movement, the photo and layout just beam with happiness.

 

Beth thinks the black background with the pretty flowers looks great.

Spring Love by Pegster

 

Was chosen by Janell (janello). Janell thinks that this spring layout is so beautiful with the non-traditional pastels and the elements create a natural looking nest right under the robins, so clever!

 

Cindy loves the earthy feel to this.

 

Ronny thinks this layout is so pretty, with great clustering. She especially loves the double stitched border.

 

Pam absolutely adores the stitched framing, and how the layout uses such earthy elements for such a great subject!

 

Beth likes how she framed her photo with so many pretty embellishments.

 

Laura comments, “The clustering of natural embellishments helps to create an outdoorsy effect for this spectacular photo.”

 

Jess thinks the natural accents on this LO really give a home to the sweet bird photo.  The border stitching was a great touch!

Laura F thinks this layout is so pretty!  The beautiful way Peg framed this photo is perfection!

Santa Barbara by Scrapsakes

 

Was chosen by Cindy. She loves the bright colors in this layout, the great choice of papers, the cool arrangement of photos and the fantastic job done with the flowers and embellishments. Just awesome!

 

Ronny really loves the balance and colors of this layout. She is amazed by the mix of patterned papers, and the big bright flowers are gorgeous!

 

Pam LOVES Grace's style, and this layout is true Grace!  The clean lines, the perfect placement of each element...it is fabulous!

 

Beth thinks that Grace is so completely awesome and every page of hers is beyond amazing-bemazing! She particularly loved her colors, paper choices, amazing photos and layout design of this page.

 

Sus thinks WOW! She loves all the layering and the colors and the details. Stickles on the flowers are just the perfect touch. Again, Sus thinks WOW!

 

Diane says, "Once again, Grace has rocked another layout with gorgeous colors, photos, and layering. I love the circular photos and the border of flowers. Beautiful work!"

 

Laura is amazed by the way so many busy elements can come together to create the overall cohesive design of this layout!

Angie says she LOVES how the flowers are curled on the edges!

 

Laura F thinks this is gorgeous! She loves the way Grace added Stickles to her flowers for dimension!

 

Kathy says, "I'm in awe of Grace's ability to create paper masterpieces!  I'm loving the colors she used and how she glittered the edges of the flowers!"

Was chosen by Ronny (smiley_scraps8), who says, “My eye was drawn to this layout right away. The beautiful green and blending are shown off so well with perfectly placed elements. Great job!”

 

Laura F. thinks the title and photo go perfectly together. She loves the serenity found in this beautiful layout!

 

Pam LOVES the framing and the stitching.  She also digs those mushrooms!

Amanda thinks the photo extraction is amazing and looks terrific coming out of the frame.  It is a stunning layout with just enough elements to enhance it.

Beth thought the blending of the photo into the page along with the framing of the picture was spectacular.

 

Laura loves the way the photo blends into the background, giving you a peek into the outside world.

 

Jess thinks the pop of blue butterflies is stunning here.  The blending is fantastic and the whole LO is very serene.

 

Angie says she LOVES the photo effect around the edges of the photo!!!

 

Kathy thinks the wooden frame is the perfect element for this layout!  She loves how the subtle stitching helps add focus to the photo!

SPRING by skinniminni

 

Was chosen by Pam (4peasinourpod). She LOVES the sweet femininity of this layout...from the gorgeous photograph, to all the earth tone elements and it's classic design.

 

Beth thinks the photo and accompanying colors and papers are so sweet together and really gives the page a spring feel.

 

Sus thinks the whole layout compliments the gorgeous photo so well. Beautiful design!

 

Diane loves the soft colors, distressing, and beautiful embellishments to highlight the fabulous photo. Wonderful layout!

 

Laura thinks the photo is priceless and the soft embellishments give it just the right touch of decoration.

 

Jess is completely in love with that photo and the delicacy of this whole LO.  The pinks and browns and the light distressing compliment the patterned paper perfectly.

Heart Smiles by Scrapperjade

was chosen by Amanda (mkcdaisy) because she adores the lightened photo on the brown paper.  The torn look throught the layout is great but not too much.  It is a very heartwarming page.

Diana says “This layout is so adorable! I love the multiple views of the same picture, what a great effect!”

 

Laura F. loves the heritage feel of this layout, even though the photos are new. Beautiful blending and a great design!

 

Beth thought the diagonal photo strip was very cool.

 

Laura is inspired by the quote and believes the repetition of the photo strip with the aged, larger photo really makes an eye-catching layout.

 

Jess says, "The photo strip on this is great!  I really like the interesting design and the sweet little sentiment under the heart".

 

Angie says that she LOVES the filmstrip frame and the sepia tone of the photos!

Was chosen by Beth  (Beth_W) who thought the colors and design of this page made it stand out in the gallery.  She loved the scalloped circles, hand stitching, beautiful flowers and photo taken from behind.  The page is so cohesive.

 

Sus loves the dimensions on this. She loves how the die cut papers were used, and the clustering is just wonderful.

 

Diane says, "Wow, what a stunning layout! This is such a fabulous use of color, scallops and embellishment."

 

Laura wants to reach out and touch this wonderfully textured layout!

Laura F. loves how Heather cut the photo…very cool detail!

 

Laura really likes how the photo is split, bringing focus to the eyes. She is also drawn to the beautiful blues in the layout.

 

Jess says, "The cut photo adds so much visual interest here! I love the monochromatic combo of elements and the touching journaling."

Jess thinks this LO really echoes the beauty of the outdoor wedding shot.  It is very elegant, yet fresh!

This page is amazing to Amanda. She loved the way the photo is muted except on the bride.  The bright green elements just make the page pop.

Laura Fiore has been scrapbooking since her kids were little and now they're mostly grown up! She loves using layers of patterned paper and swears she coudn't live without her edge distresser. Laura has been published several times in Scrapbook Trends magazine and idea books, in the Fabulous Friendships Idea Book from Memory Makers, and in Layout Blueprints 2. She is on the design teams for Magistical Memories and Scrapping the Music challenge blog. This November, Laura will celebrate 21 years of marriage to her husband Vic. Her daughter Jessica is in her second year of college, and her baby boy Nick is a Senior in high school. Running is a huge part of Laura's life...she's completed 11 marathons and is now coaching a marathon team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. She also teaches fitness classes at her local gym.
