One Kit Wonder

Creating a layout with one single kit can really make it shine!

It is no secret that the Digital Store here at ACOT has a plethora of amazing kits on the shelves.  What better way to showcase the beauty of your favorite kit than by creating a layout featuring elements from that kit, and that alone!  This won't be a one hit wonder (because you can always use the kit again and again) but we can definitely call it a One Kit Wonder!!  This might challenge you to think inside the box.  Just think! Instead of spending oodles of time searching through your hard drive to find the perfect element...realize it is right before your eyes!

Laura said she immediately chose Sweet Digi Scraps' "Take My Breath Away: Memories." She states, "The colors are so beautiful and I  knew exactly which picture to use. I have been missing my grandparents terribly, as this is the first year without both of them."

Kristi notes, "There are so many fantastic kits out there and some of my favorite are the ones that include everything you need to complete an entire layout! I chose Vintage Floral by Eclectic Scrap Style Designs because it had a variety of beautiful embellishments, a couple attachments and of course a good selection of both patterned and solid paper."

Egle used "Sweet Treats" by Jeanelle Paige. Her kit included the alphabet used for the title, different elements and papers, both patterned and solid.

Sara says, "Aren't they lovely? My sister and her fiance are due to get married on June 6, and I can't wait to return home to Bermuda for the wedding! Rowena's (Willro & Co Designs) kit, Lovely, was just perfect for this beautiful photo of the pair.   While others have a hard time using just one kit, I find it pretty easy - using several is where it gets difficult for me!"

Angie LOVES kits that have everything you need in them and this wonderful kit, Down to Earth by Bella Gypsy Designs, is no exception!

AND - because Angie enjoyed working with one kit at a time, she whipped out TWO layouts!  This one with Party Kit by SAS Designs

Ronny says, "This can make a layout must easier and quicker because all of the paper and elements already coordinate so well.  I choose Alley Oop by Danielle Young Designs, a great kit for a page with both my children together."

Janell chose to work with Katie the Scrapbook lady's new kit called "Sunny with a Chance".

Diana says, "I love it when you come across a single kit that has everything you need in it, including lots of fun embellishments and an alphabet set. This kit Lovebirds by Amy Teets Designs, has lots of fun papers and perfectly coordinating embellishments and alphabet so that I can scrap easily with just one kit."

Why I Scrap by dianagirly

About the author ...
Karin O'Brien lives with her husband Patrick (i.e. Honeybuns), her son Liam, and two kitties, Milo & Thalia, in a fabulous condo in the great city of Chicago. She traded in her Chemical Engineering Degree for the best job promotion a girl could ask for - being Mommy to Liam! Despite the lack of sleep and lack of money, she thinks life is very good right now! Karin began paper scrapping in 1999 in college, although she always seemed to make more of a mess than pages! When she moved to Mexico, the lack of a local scrap store forced her to explore digiscrapping! She started digital scrapbooking in March of 2005, and now is officially addicted and completely in love!
