JULY Creative Team Spotlight

Summer agrees with all of you in our Gallery!

Summertime certainly does show itself to be a time for scrapbooking! I don’t know if it’s because we’re home more with our kids, able to take more photos, or just have so many fun family times happening that we can’t resist scrapping about them, but the gallery has certainly been hopping with your beautiful work! Here are a few of our favorites from this month:

SMILE by Scrapcathy

Was chosen by Cindy (kimandasmo), who thinks this layout is gorgeous. She loves how it looks so simple and beautiful at first, but then there's all of the lovely detail in the elements.

Beth loves the use of white space and small amounts of black, teal and lime. The colors really pop yet don't distract from the photos.
Laura F. says, “Cathy has done it again! The small strip of photos, and the great border highlighting them are gorgeous. So are the awesome embellishments!”
Jess says, "I love the repetition of photos on this and the clean feeling to it... the small amount of embellishment is beautiful!"
Laura M. has a soft spot for golden retrievers, and she loves the photo strip and the colors of all the little elements on the white background. "It looks amazing!"
Ronny thinks this layout is wonderful, from the photo strip to the great cluster on the right. A fun layout that makes you smile, great job!!
Angela loves the simple yet beautiful design of this layout. The use of white space and the mix of embellishments are amazing.
Pam ADORES the white space, the color combination, the embellishments....well, everything about this layout. Cathy ROCKS!
Diane says, "What a gorgeous use of white space and the splashes of color! Beautiful layout!"
Janell loves that you can actually see "the smile" in the adorable repeated photo. She also thinks that the cluster in the left corner rocks!

VEGELICIOUS by Bernadettte


Was chosen by Beth-W.  Beth's eyes were immediately drawn to the large photo and fun title. The orange, green and brown color scheme compliments the theme and photos perfectly and all of the embellishments are such a pleasure to take in.

Jess thinks the central photo here is fantastic! All the little hidden details on this make it so fun to look at.
Cindy is blown away by the central photo in this layout! The colors are amazing as well as all the little details. She also really loves the little carrot used as a letter in the title.
Ronny loves this bright, fun layout. The large photo really pulls you right in and then you spend minutes just checking out all of the fun elements. Wonderful!
Angela is blown away with how well Bernadettte is able to use so many photos and still work all the embellishment details perfectly.
Pam thinks Bernadette is AMAZING at multiple pictures, the prefect embellishments, and great photos. She never disappoints!
Diane loves this fun and embellishment rich layout!
Jennifer K. loves the fact that there is so much going on yet she never gets lost in it. She also likes the way the colors compliment the photos well.
Angie says "Bernadette's pages ALWAYS amaze me with all the fun embellishments!"
Kristianne says "a great design with embellishments everywhere for the eye to enjoy. I really like the great photos and coordinating products."
Sara says: “The photos here are awesome, and I love how she used a carrot for one of the letters in the title. Brilliant job!”
Jennifer loves the oranges on this page and the pictures are too fun!



LITTLE DANCER by AngelicaT


Was chosen by Laura F. because of the sweet elegance of it all. The punched photo mat, the intricate floral detail and the pretty tulle embellishment are just gorgeous with her adorable photos!

Cindy really appreciates the softness added to this layout by the mesh and the little pin with the beads. The colors are very soft and pretty as well.
Jess really loves the lace! The colors and the romantic touches perfectly compliment the adorable photos!
Laura M. thinks this layout is so soft and sweet and she feels that all the lace and intricate embellishments compliment the photos perfectly.
Angela loves how the softness of this layout matches the sweet photos. The lace, flowers and pearls are the perfect embellishments!
Pam thinks that feminine never looked SO good! The color combination and the great photos make a beautiful layout!
Diane loves how this layout is perfectly blended with the photos, shows off beautiful texture and has an added vintage flair!
Beth loves the soft, feminine feel of the LO. The lace, flowers and punched border really set the perfect mood for a LO about a sweet little dancer.
"The use of both the paper lace and the real lace just add to this beautiful layout, it is a true work of art with those beautiful photos.", comments Janell.
Egle likes how the blue is picked up from the dress in the picture and used on the layout.
Kathy thinks, "the lace and soft accents on this page go perfectly with the ballet photos - gorgeous!"
Jennifer K. was immediately taken in by the sweet femininity of this layout and its girlish embellishments!

365 WEEK 26 by Tracyfish


Was chosen by Kristianne (mamaK321). Kristianne says, "I love how she used contrasting dots and graph paper, with the large border framing her blocked photos. Layering the title over the photos keeps everything in one focal spot and balances the journaling strip too."

Cindy loves the photo arrangement and the journaling, along with the very nice mix of photos.
Janell loves how she included all the photos with the blocking technique and then added just the right amount of elements.
Egle loves how the photos are blocked here as well as the journaling running along the side of the pictures.
Jennifer K. loved the fun funky feel to this, and thinks the blocking is done perfectly!
Kathy loves how the photos are blocked on this layout!!
Jennifer thinks the set-up on this page is fantastic! I love the way the pictures are blocked, the colors and the journaling to the side.
Angie says " I LOVE Tracy's blocking effect on her LO and how she is keeping up with a weekly LO for her 365 project!"

COOL CHICK by Hilde

Was chosen by Jess (ScrapGoo). Jess thinks the details on this layout are like hidden gems! This page makes excellent use of a circle and the rows of buttons and border journaling are fabulous!

Cindy feels the colors on this layout are really fantastic and make it pop! She really likes all the buttons and the way the journaling was done as well.
Beth remembers this LO when she first saw it in the gallery and absolutely loved the colors and design. All of the layering and embellishments make it so fun to look at.
Laura M. states, "The framing and layering in this layout are gorgeous! The buttons lead your eye to the tiny journaling, framing the patterned paper, and the circle framing the photos with all the flowers and stars really draws your eye to the photos."

Laura F. thinks Hilde’s design on this one is stellar! She loves the way the chipboard is glittered and thinks the stars are perfect embellishments!
Egle likes how the red pops on this layout as well as all of the 3D embellishments used here.
Kathy's a huge fan of this layout, saying, "I really like how the mix of buttons, flowers, and glitter add to the layout without making it super girly - awesome!"
Jennifer thinks the circle frame with all the embellies is great! And the dark, rich colors really bring out the white flowers.

CRUSHED by scrapperjade

Was chosen by Jennifer (sarahwhithers), who thinks this layout is super cute! The colors jump right out at you and are layered perfectly so as to grab your attention, but don't overpower the pictures, not to mention the "crushed" together letters!

Cindy thinks this layout is fun, happy and bright. She also loves how the title is "crushed" together to make an impact.
Laura F. loves the colors and playful feel of this layout! That baby is adorable and so are the whimsical embellishments on the page!
Laura M. likes the clean, graphic feel of this layout, with the photo block and the vertical journaling reminding her of a magazine layout. "What a great way to scrap a week of your life!"

8TH GRADE DANCE by JuliaPhotoFL


Was chosen by Laura M., who chose this layout for the eye-catching color scheme that perfectly compliments the subject's dress, and for the wonderful, shaped photo-collage that lets us peek inside this night of magic!

Cindy adores the title to this layout as well as the "wave" collage of photos that is nicely done. She also thinks the colors are superb for the photos.
Ronny thinks the colors and curved design of this layout are perfect. My eyes are lead right to the photos of the beautiful young woman. Lovely layout!
The design and colors on this layout ROCK! Angela thinks the touches of "bling" set the mood for a dance layout.
Pam thinks the magical feeling of this layout makes it incredible.

Was chosen by Kirsty.  Kirsty says, “Those gorgeous baby blues just instantly draw you into the layout and capture your attention. Plus the amazing attention to detail gives this layout a beautiful serene feel to it. You just can’t help but want to keep coming back to it.”

Jennifer K’s first reaction was “Oh my look at those eyes!” She also loves how so much white space is used so that nothing takes away from the photo.
Ronny says, "Wow, this layout really catches your eye. The subtle blending of the photo is perfect and I love the cluster and shadow work."
Laura F. is always amazed by the photography in Erica’s layouts. She has beautiful children and knows how to crop a photo to highlight that beauty! The layout has sweet boyish elements that go perfectly with her photo!
Beth is stunned by this amazing photo. The design of the page is perfect to keep the focus on it.
Jess loves this color blue and especially likes the way his eyes pop out as the focus. The softness of this is just so sweet.

CAPE MAY! BEACH VACATION by scrapdz


Was chosen by Shannon, who says, “The desaturation of the photo looks so cool and really fits the elements and papers used. Great design and use of space. Super fun!”

Beth loved the soft, textured background with the desaturized photo. Those and the elements really work well together to set just the right mood for a beach layout.
Cindy finds the layout to be very appealing…almost like a postcard. She thinks the colors in the photo are just perfect as well as the embellishments.
Jess says, "This layout makes great use of those beach embellishments without looking cluttered or taking the focus from the wonderful photo!"
Jennifer K. likes the muted colors of the photo and that it matches this kit perfectly.
Kathy likes all of the layering on this layout and loves the look of digi torn paper!
Egle likes the word art used at the bottom of this layout as well as the photo effect used here.

LITTLE SPARKLER by pawprints


Was chosen by Ronny (Smiley-Scrap8). Ronny chose this layout because of the wonderful design and skilled extraction work. The photo of the little girls is just beautiful and it's framed so well with all of the fun elements.

Jennifer says this page is bright and fun and loves all the glitter!
Laura F. thinks this patriotic page is super fun and filled with perfect embellishments.
Can you say "American?” This layout sure does and Cindy absolutely loves all the pop that it has. The stars and the bursts are just the right touch to make this a terrific layout.
Angela thinks this is such a fun layout. She loves all the "bursts" of color and the journaling is too sweet.
"Wonderful sparkling elements and such a cute little butterfly. There are so many fun things to look at, but I am drawn to her smile!" says Janell.

Amanda thinks this page is amazing. It’s a great memory to have and she loves the use of the photo as the background.
Cindy is partial to the emotion that this layout has. It looks like it could be a magazine ad. Just amazing! The photo really says it all. She also loves the photo strip and how it just adds to the story. Wonderful job here!

Was chosen by Pam (4peasinourpod). Pam thinks that this minialbum is pure genius. The black and white pictures with the colored cardstock/paper are brilliant, but the journaling and sentiments along with the embellishments totally make it a perfect project.

Cindy wishes she could do a mini album like this. The black and white photos with those papers are just awesome, as is the journaling in this album.
Laura F. is fascinated with this album…she loves the Webster’s Pages papers mixed with the Cosmo Cricket that Deb used. So many fun details as well!
Beth thinks the Webster's Pages vintage image and theme of the album were such a perfect combination! Great design and such a pleasure to look at!

Beth loved the pretty colors and elements used. Those, along with the fun design are really spectacular.
Jess LOVES the pom-pom trim around the edge of this! And all the birds are super sweet!
Laura M. says, "The title of this layout made me giggle. We all know something about enabling here at ACOT! I am really drawn to this layout by the texture of the mini pom-poms and rhinestones, and the bracket mat pulls you into the photos, while all the little embellishments help to frame them. I'm really partial to the paisley, of course!"

Laura Fiore has been scrapbooking since her kids were little and now they're mostly grown up! She loves using layers of patterned paper and swears she coudn't live without her edge distresser. Laura has been published several times in Scrapbook Trends magazine and idea books, in the Fabulous Friendships Idea Book from Memory Makers, and in Layout Blueprints 2. She is on the design teams for Magistical Memories and Scrapping the Music challenge blog. This November, Laura will celebrate 21 years of marriage to her husband Vic. Her daughter Jessica is in her second year of college, and her baby boy Nick is a Senior in high school. Running is a huge part of Laura's life...she's completed 11 marathons and is now coaching a marathon team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. She also teaches fitness classes at her local gym.
