September Guest Paper CT Reveal

It's September and here at A Cherry On Top we have a new Guest Paper CT!  Please welcome skinnimini!  Deb got to work with the new K&Company Fall line.  Check out the wonderful layouts she did with this line and learn more about her!  Congrats again Deb!

    My name is Deb, and I live in southern Indiana. I am a Physical Therapist, but after the birth of my first child, I quit working full time, and I now work on an as needed basis. We live on my grandparent's old farm, in the house they built in 1956. There is a lot of sentimental value in this land and house, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I started scrapbooking about eight years ago when a coworker invited me to a Creative Memories party. I was instantly hooked, and I've never looked back. I've always been somewhat of a crafty person, and scrapbooking seemed to be a way to combine a lot of my interests with the added bonus of preserving memories for future generations. My children are the primary subjects of my pages.

Name 3 musical artists you enjoy: It changes on a weekly basis, but for right now, Matchbox 20, Lady Antebellum, and Pink. I like a hodge podge of styles.

Favorite (NSR) store to shop: Kohl's! They always have great sales and they always send me coupons! I wonder if that means I shop there too much?

Favorite (NSR) magazine publication: I love cooking magazines and subscribe to Taste of Home and Simple and Delicious

Name 2 of your favorite colors: Olive green and robin egg blue

Favorite thing to do with your family: We live on a farm, so we love to go four wheeling, fishing, picnicking, things like that.

Favorite thing (non-scrap related) to do without your family: What? They never leave me alone.

What's your favorite scrapping tool to use when scrapbooking? There are so many! I love my Tim Holtz inking tool, BasicGrey precision file set, Cutterbee scissors, and my Perfect Layers tool just to name a few.

Name 3 of your favorite SB companies/lines: Again, like my music, this changes on a weekly basis, but today it's Webster's Pages, Pink Paislee, My Mind's Eye

Name 3 of your favorite embellishments to work with: Prima flowers, Prima Say it in Crystals (or pearls or studs...you get the picture), and Riff Raff chipboard

What are your favorite adhesives? ATG gold adhesive, glue dots of every size, and glossy accents or diamond glaze when I need a liquid adhesive.

What are your top two fave holidays? Christmas and Easter – You can get those special Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs and Christmas trees during those times.

What's the one thing you must have readily available when you sit down to scrap? Aside from the obvious tools, I have to have a plan before I sit down and scrap. Otherwise, I sit and stare at paper for hours.

What would you like the ACOT members to know about you? What you see is what you get with me. I'm a down to earth country girl, and I'm a little bit old fashioned. I spend all summer canning and freezing food from the garden for winter just like my grandmothers and my mom did. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was in the 4^th grade, and I still love to do it, even though I don't have as much time anymore. My life isn't glamorous or overly exciting, but that's just how I like it!
