I am not normally the type of scrapper that likes themes. I prefer to usually do those types of layouts using color schemes to fit the theme instead. However, last Winter CHA, the Creative Imaginations Booth had Darth Vader, Clone troops and other Stars Wars characters walking around the booth. Turns out they were working on this officially licensed Star Wars line. Once I saw it, I told Pam, I have to have that. Cole will absolutely LOVE it!
So I stalked the store until it came in and bought it. In person it is super cool. LARGE chipboard shapes, great papers, cool epoxy stickers and an AWESOME mini kit album. Cole likes the older Star Wars movies (kids got taste...lol) and the Clone War movie and cartoons. So these were the perfect items for us!
First, I created a layout using a picture that we took last year during the Albuquerque Balloon Festival, when Cole got to meet Storm Troopers for the first time.
Then I made a Clone Wars Character book for Cole to carry around with him!! I was able to find info about all the characters online and I printed out the info and attached it to each page so he could read about the characters. He LOVES it. And this is where I have to change my tune about the themed scrappy paper. My son has never been so excited about a mini book or page I have made him, like he is this one.
Lastly, I went on the internet and found good pictures with good quality and printed them out. Placed them into a collage frame and then Cole and I added stickers to the frame and it is now hanging in his room!
So many fun things to do with the Creative Imaginations Star Wars line, it is fun for layouts as well as projects. If you have a Star Wars fan in your house, this is a MUST!!
