Fancy Pants Dancing Girl

For your inner girly girl and more!

Since I have a little girl, I couldn’t resist Dancing Girl from Fancy Pants! Pinks, purples, doodles, and just plain fun designs make up this line. They have a ton of fabulous double-sided papers, rub-ons, stickers, trims, buttons, ribbons,  journaling spots, transparencies and Glitter Cuts that all coordinate perfectly. You can’t ask for much more than that!

Little Dancer

Luckily I had some tutu pictures waiting to be scrapped, so this layout came together very quickly. I had pushed the transparencies to the side, because they are not normally something I would choose. I wanted some kind of border for the background paper, so as I was shuffling things around, I pushed the transparency over the page. To my surprise, I really liked how it looked! I had never used a full page transparency before, but this really dressed up the layout in one easy step. Even my title was done for me! I layered it in with the other papers and elements to blend it in with the layout, rather than having the whole layout on top or underneath it. I used a few pages from the journaling notebook as layers, matted the small photo with a sticker from the sticker sheet, added some of the ball trim, and my page was done!

Tutu Cute!

Are the bold, black doodles not something you’re into? That’s fine- there are also many more subdued pages in this line, too! On the next layout I did (yes, another tutu- I was in a tutu making craze for awhile! They’re just too sweet!), I used some of the papers with a less “girly” feel to them. On this one, I used two of the sheets from the journaling notebook as layers. These journaling notebooks are some of my favorite Fancy Pants products- you can use them for much more than just journaling spots and each book has 2 sheets each of 12 different designs and 4 shapes. Since I made the shirt & tutu she is wearing, I wanted to add some stitching to tie into that. I also added a few buttons to this fun layout to make it complete!

Cupcake Mini Album
My next project was a mini album of my daughter’s third birthday a few weeks ago. The KaiserCraft cupcake album was perfect for this- plus it came with 3 candles, so I knew it was meant to be! First I painted the sides of the wood pages pink, then traced, cut, inked and adhered the base papers with Mod Podge. The paper with the small dots was perfect for the frosting part of the album! Since this book was thicker, I had trouble finding rings to fit so I just used ribbon to hold it together.
I wasn’t sure what to do on the cover, but one of the journaling cards with a cute little quote was perfect! On the inside, I used several of the journaling cards- there are so many cute ones of those, too! I also cut the flower Glitter Cut into three pieces for embellishments and adhered them with Glue Dots. The pink Delight Thickers were just the right size for little titles on the pages and you get a lot of them in one package! I had to Stickle a little something on every page of this album. I mean, a cupcake album with these papers about a little girl’s birthday is really just asking for some bling, right?!

I hope you pick up some of this fun line. It does have a lot of fun, girly pinks & purples, but there are also some great light blue, green and browns, too. There are lots of possibilities for baby, family or fun summer layouts. I can't wait to see what you create with it!
