A fabulous sketch by our own Juliana!

Posted by SarahA

Here is our last sketch of the week. Juliana offered to make a sketch for this week, and we all loved it!

Check out the different and fun ways Beth, Sus and I interpreted the sketch below using our themes for the week- adult women, boys and holidays:

Cat Lady by Beth

Here is what Beth says about her layout:
This page was created following the sketch created by Juliana. I loved the sketch and decided to keep 3 photos in a row just like the sketch. I cut out flowers from a piece of pp to use as my accents on the page. My theme this week was adult female and I used the elegant papers from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush for the page.

Snow Tunnel by Sus

Here is what Sus says about her layout:
It is no secret I have been stuggling a tad...trying to get back into a groove after this past year. I thought I had tried everything, but the one thing I did not try was sketches. This reveal has been a AMAZING for me. Working on this sketch by Juliana was so much fun and I was able to find "my" groove while following hers. I half cut out the circle on the Record paper and slid the paper strips underneath it. I then used the Playlist paper and cut phrases that apply to my boy. For the area near the title, I was able to use the Fast Forward paper and circle how old he was when the pictures were taken. From the Fast Forward page I also cut out an arrow and used that for the tip left corner. All in all this page came together in about a half an hour. Something that never happens for me. I think I finally have a solution when my mojo has left the building (or in my case the state...lol). Why don't you try using one of the sketches and see where "your" style leads you!

Handmade with Love by Sarah

I loved this sketch and pretty much followed it just as it was. The Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses line was perfect for this page about Quinn's new stocking this year. Actually, that line is good for just about any photos! For my journaling, I used my sewing machine to stitch journaling lines. It was quick and easy to do following some light pencil lines I drew. I used foam adhesive to pop up the middle photo. I used some of the circle stickers from the sticker element sheet and topped them with some of the transparent buttons from the button package for the circles on the sketch.

Next week the Creative Team will be showing you more takes on the sketches from this week following different themes.
