For my first reveal, I got to work with 3 Bugs in A Rug April Showers.  How cute are these products?!?  And let me tell you, they’re even cuter in person!  Thanks so much to ACOT for letting me work with these great products!

Make a Wish

For my first layout, I chose to scrap some pics of Avery blowing dandelions in the park from last summer.  The design of this layout was inspired by an Anam Stubbington sketch.  I started off with a piece of Vibrant Blue Bazzill as my base.  I used my Cricut and the Lacy Labels cartridge to die-cut a large bracket shape out of the backside of the Gathering PP.  I cut a large strip of Springtime and adhered it down the center of the die-cut paper.  I staggered my two photos and added border strips and stickers from the Die-cut Shapes and Border Stickers underneath them.    My favorite part of this layout is the flowers.  I wanted to try and make a paper version of the dandelions in the photos.    I used White Gloves Core Couture cardstock by Core’dinations and cut several layers of flowers using my Cricut and the Mother’s Day Bouquet Seasonal cartridge.  Then I took my Fiskars Tiny Tip scissors and snipped into them all around to create more of the dandelion look.  I layered them, fluffed up the “petals” and gave them each a KaiserCraft jewel center.   Then I adhered a ticket from the Die-cut Shapes  and Thickers for my title.

Darling Daughter

For this layout, I was inspired by the colors on the backside of the Springtime PP and chose a photo of Avery standing near a hydrangea bush.  I used a piece of K&Co cardstock for my base and large piece of Springtime (backside).  I cut a scalloped circle out of Pretty Bird and adhered that to a paper doily.  Then I punched a border down two sides of Rain Boots (backside) using my Martha Stewart Swirling Lace punch, to make a mat for my photo.   I cut “Darling” using my Cricut and the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge out of Rain Boots (backside), Pretty Bird (backside) and Elegance Core Couture Core’dinations.  I cut the tag also with Once Upon a Princess.  I finished the title off with White Sunny Thickers.  I also had some older Prima hydrangea flowers that matched perfectly (don’t you love it when that happens?) and so I added them to echo the flowers in my photo.

Frolic Among the Roses

This line is all about Spring, and what is more Spring than Easter Dresses?  I loved all the pink patterns in this line, and there are some really cute patterns on the backsides of these papers, let me tell you! So for this layout, I wanted to use all the pink patterns and scrap Avery dancing around in her Easter dress from last year.  I had too many cute photos for just a one pager, so I did a double.  I fussy-cut  all around the scalloped edge of Kaleidoscope, cut in half and inked it with Rouge ColorBox chalk ink.  I cut strips of Umbrella Perch (backside), Pretty Bird (backside) and another sheet of Kaleidoscope (backside) and inked them all with Rouge.  I adhered the fussy-cut Kaleidoscope and strips of Umbrella Perch and Kaleidoscope vertically to create one continuous strip.  I adhered the strips of Pretty Bird (backside) horizontally staggered across the page and layered some Bazzill Just the Edge strips on top of them, then added my photos.  The large corners were from the negative of die-cut I cut out for “Make a Wish” out of Gathering (backside).  I just cut the negative in half and in half again to make two large corners.  I added another die-cut tag (from Once Upon a Princess) and some Martha Stewart lace tags.  Some pretty Prima bling and a cute Dear Lizzy sticker for a title and I was all done!

Flying High

This layout came together super quickly for me.  I used a Sassy Li’l Sketches sketch for my inspiration.  I cut a large piece of Chick-A-Dee (backside) and punched it down both sides using my Fiskars Apron Lace punch.  I adhered this to my Bo Bunny Powder Blue Double Dot cardstock base.  I used large strips of of  Rain Boots and Showers (backsides) vertically and small strips of Umbrella Perch, Pretty Bird and Kaleidoscope (backsides) horizontally.  I offset my photo on a piece of Pretty Bird.  The banner pieces are from the Die-cut Shapes and I pop dotted them for some dimension.   White Sunny Thickers for my title and a small die-cut tag completed the layout!
