Hopscotch

Quite honestly, the weeks before CHA (and immediately after) are slim pickings for new products in the shoppe. So, when there are companies like Basic Grey that offer interim releases, we scoop them up. Then, when they offer an AMAZING interim release, like Hopscotch, we are all ecstatic.

Those of you that are readers of our articles, know my dislike of pink. It is just the way I am, I love other peoples use of pink....but I am a baseball, ponytail, blue jean kind of girl. So when I purchased this line, I was a little hesitant. When I started working with it...I couldn't STOP. Really. You will see a few layouts here in this article, but you will see it a LOT more coming up, because I went back and purchased more. LOTS more.

It is basically a Valentine's line, but is so much more versatile than any other Valentines line I have ever worked with. I think it is a classic line without definition.

My favorite layout that I did from this line is of my son when he was two years old. He is looking all sporty and cool, but the colors and sentiments made me choose this photo for this line, and I think that it works well. I hand-cut the papers for this.

None of my kids have "loved" a stuffed animal other than Kiley. Her elephant is her security item, and she is so important to her. The colors of this line were perfect with this photograph.

The teenager to be...that I love. This line is soooo timeless. From infant love, to toddler love, teenager love, to adult love....it all works!

Basic Grey is a great manufacturer in my eyes...not only for the amazing papers, but for their embellishments. They have the best matching embellishments of any company, and my layouts are filled with them!
