Basic Grey Kioshi Collection 18 comments
A sophisticated balance of relaxing color and geometric designPosted by Dianedi Are you a Basic Grey junkie like me? Do you hoard Basic Grey papers, buy collection packs, and every embellishment to go with it? That is me! I admit it. LOVE my Basic Grey. My heart definitely skipped a beat when I saw the new Kioshi line. Basic Grey calls the Kioshi line a sophisticated balance of relaxing color and geometric design. You'll find beautiful shades of purple, pink, blue, green and brown in all of the gorgeous patterned papers and embellishments!
When did Easter Egg Hunting get so competitive? lol! It is definitely the thrill of the hunt in our neck of the woods when it comes to Egg Hunts! Our town sponsors a local hunt for preschoolers up to 2nd grade. Every year, we've gathered the kids baskets and headed up to take part in the craziness. This year, Colin found two friends to run around with and chase down eggs. For them, it was all about the anticipation of what goodies were waiting for them inside of those eggs! For this layout, I've used several Kioshi patterned papers and I've layered several embellishments from the Kioshi pieces, Kioshi Element Stickers, Kioshi Olio rub-on's, and Kioshi Chip Sticker Shapes.
Life seems to just keep getting busier and busier in our house. With school, sports, music, and scouts, time just keeps flying by. I seem to get nostalgic every time the seasons change and I'm cleaning out the kids clothes. I started my spring cleaning a few weeks ago and that is when I realized how quickly both of my kids are growing. Both of them have gone through tremendous growth spurts in the last two months. I took this photo of the two of them together at Easter and couldn't believe how big they look! I'm truly blessed with how smart and funny they both are and I wanted them to know how much I appreciate them. (when they aren't being sassy of course!) I caught them on a good day on Easter with all smiles and no arguing between them! For this layout, I've used the Kioshi Fuji paper as the background for the layout. I've used both Yuriko and Lily Child papers while layering embellishments from the Kioshi Element Stickers, Kioshi Chip shapes, and Kioshi Pops.
Family parties are all about food and games at our house! While dinner was being prepared some of the boys went outside to play ball for awhile. My son, Colin, is in heaven when he is playing catch with his daddy! As a lefty, my son is still learning all of the basics of baseball and I wanted to show him out well he was doing. I took a series of photos and created a collage to show him all of his moves! This layout uses only embellishments from the Kioshi collection and no patterned paper. I've used the Kioshi Element Stickers with the border stickers, a few Kioshi pieces, and some Kioshi Chip Sticker shapes. The alphabet stickers are from Kioshi, October Afternoon and Little Yellow bicycle Clothesline verse stickers.
