Core'dinations Impressions Cardstock 9 comments
paired with Jenni BowlinPosted by 4peasinourpod As a scrapbooker, I LOVE to try new products. If the truth be told, however, I am a tad on the lazy side. So when Core'dinations teamed up with a few companies to create a matching cardstock, I was in HEAVEN. When I found out that the cardstock was EMBOSSED, I almost fainted. The "cherry on top" however was when I realized that the companies included my favorite company, Jenni Bowlin Studios. Core'dinations and JBS teamed up to produce a cardstock in classic Jenni Bowlin colors. The colors are not specific to a particular line...they can be used with many of the products. The embossing is complimentary to the style of the manufacturer. Since I already had a vast amount of Jenni Bowlin at my house, I wanted to show you how the older lines work as well as the new line. Let me show you what I created! I absolutely fell in LOVE with the green cardstock embossed with the alphabet. I had pictures from my recent trip to Anna Maria Island (the best breakfast of my entire LIFE). I sanded the cardstock to reveal the letters e n j o y. I then used a mix of old and new Jenni Bowlin embellishments to finish the layout. I wanted the layout colorful and happy, just like I was that day on the beach! My next layout features the new Playdate line and the Hypnotic French Label Black Magic. I had a great picture of my kids grandparents, and wanted to scrap it for each of their albums. I trimmed the cardstock and sanded the edges. It is gorgeous in real life! I then used the mini papers to frame the photo, folded up some of the crepe paper, added a Pink Paislee 12 inch sticker, as well as some butterflies and a title. I couldn't WAIT to get sanding when I saw this cardstock! I knew that I wanted to use it on a layout of Evan, so I pulled out some older Jenni Bowlin from my stash. I wanted many shapes and textures on this layout, so I cut circles to compliment the stars, and the label balanced it all off. I love the Jenni Bowlin alpha, and the Basic Grey chipboard letters added the right amount of depth. My last layout is my favorite. The tan cardstock has a very subtle embossing, so when you sand to the core, there is only a small differentiation. It was exactly the look I was going for with Kiley's field hockey picture. I really wanted the focus to be on the photograph. I added a grouping of embellishments from Jenni Bowlin...the bingo card, a chipboard button, a butterfly and some stick pins. I balanced the opposite corner with stars and a label. A quick title, and the layout was complete! This is only a small sampling of the new Core'dination Impressions cardstock. I will have another article soon highlighting the two other companies (Jillibean Soup and Cosmo Cricket) that Core'dinations has teamed up with, and are available here at A Cherry on Top. You will love them, too!!
