Crate Paper Snow Day 5 comments

Posted by SarahA

I was so happy to get to work with Crate Paper's Snow Day line this month! This was one of my favorite lines from CHA and I've been waiting for it to hit the shoppe here since July! The colors are my favorites to scrap with and the patterns are amazing. Add in the fact that the texture of Crate Paper is the best, and here you have my favorite winter line ever!

Snow Day
Luckily I still had these cute photos from our first snow day last year that I never got around to scrapping. I used the snowflake paper as the base, then topped it with Salt Bazzill, which has cute little white polka dots. The stickers from the Phrase Stickers and Border Stickers sheets made this layout super easy to embellish. The die-cut sheet in the collection pack had the Snow Day title, which couldn't have been more perfect to finish off my layout.

Right Now
In addition to winter and Christmas photos, this line can really be used for anything! Every so often I like to do a "Right Now" layout about whatever is going on in life for me, so this line's fun patterns and colors were a perfect match for this type of layout. The colors really stand out on a kraft background. I used a few border punches and lots of patterns for this layout, outlined it with my white pen and added journaling strips. Once again, the die cut sheet and Phrase Stickers were quick, easy embellies!

Four
A fun, girly layout is super easy with this line! The brown paper has suble snowflakes on the background, but they're also pretty versatile as an everyday paper. I used that as my background, layered fun patterned strips and border stickers and added the fun Sew Brads. I wanted a large title, so I cut the letters with the Noteworthy Slice cartridge, then outlined them and adhered with pop dots for dimension. I used the graph paper pattern on the Blizzard paper to make my journaling tag.

Christmas Card
Of course, I had to make a Christmas card, too! I'm making the same type of photo holder cards as I did last year. I made a 5x7 card, then sewed up 3 sides to make a pocket to hold the photo. I used a circle punch to punch a half circle at the top so the photo can peek out. I used the border and phrase stickers along with the die cut tree to embellish this card.
