Creative Cards 0 comments

Get a Jump Start on your Holidays!!

Posted by MamaK321

Just in time for the holidays we have a fun reveal that will help get your card mojo flowing!  What better way to say "Gobble, Gobble, Gobble" or "Merry Christmas" than a homemade card.  And creating digitally expands both your creative license and your productivity.

Simply send a digital card via email OR print one out and tuck in a gift card!!

Janell (janello) says "These gift card holders were soooo easy to make with Merkely's gift card template. They add that special touch and personalization to any gift card. I made these holders for my children's teachers. It took me about 15 minutes including cutting and putting them together. They will go inside the hybrid gift cans that I making. (Also I will teach a class on how to do the cans at the crop tomorrow!)"

"A potential Christmas card for us this year, made easy by using drop in "quick page" type cards by our fabulous designers!" says Karin (mayerkt).

Jenn (JennK) found that these were really fun and easy to make with a cute template.

Laura (Art_Teacher) made these two beautiful cards.  She says, "One of the things I like best about making digi cards is that you can get the effect of "lumpy" on a card that is flat, and easy to mail!"

"Now because my family celebrates Christmas and my dh's family celebrates Hanukkah I made cards that have more a winter theme so that everyone feels included. Snowflakes with silver and blue are my usual go to looks. I like to include a family photo and them close-up shots of the kids with names and ages for those family members who don't get to see them much," says Ronny (Smiley-Scrap8).

Jennifer (sarahwhithers)  created two cards, one with "soft tones to show the versatility you can go with on a holiday card" and the other using "the more common colours of Christmas with red, green and gold."

Angie (nun69) says "I used a fabulous template to make a gift card holder and envelope for my oldest DD!!!"  So cute!

Just in time Sarah (davsar) made a few Thanksgiving cards along with some Christmas cards.

Kristianne (MamaK321) says that, "using this template set made the creation process quick and easy and I love the folded flap design and coordinating envelope, too."

Egle (FairyMouseMom) took a different route on the "card" reveal and shows us a recipe card she created digitally.  "Well, how many people would automatically jump and think of a recipe card? Me, that's who!!! I have started working on a project for my children...one in creating recipe albums for each of them individually. They each get to choose what they want in theirs.  I created this latest recipe card in a 12 x 12 sized layout....saved it as a JPG file....and imported it into a program on my computer in order to bring it down and print it in either an 8x8 or 6x6 size layout....to fit the albums for each of them!!!

And here are a few of the great products used in the cards above:
