My Girl, 1-2-3-Celebrate and VictoryPosted by Dianedi Creative Imaginations has always been one of my favorite manufacturers! No matter what type of project you are working on, you can always count on CI to offer a scrapbooking line that will fit perfectly. This month, I chose to highlight a few different Creative Imaginations collections including My Girl, 1-2-3-Celebrate, and Victory. My Girl Collection - As always, artist Christine Adolph has wowed me by creating another beautiful collection using glimmering foil papers, beautiful flowers and swirls, and fabulous embellishments. By using colors of green, orange, purple with a hint of blue, you could use this collection for girly projects and many more themes such as fall and birthday! My daughter recently turned seven years old and I wanted to create a yearly layout that includes all of her stats (height, weight, shoe size, personality traits, etc.) and some recent photos. I used the Sweet Foil paper as the background of the layout and cut out flowers from the Beauty paper for added embellishment. In addition, I added a Daily Dose journaling card and age cardstock circle from My Mind's Eye.
I created this card by layering flowers from the Beauty paper and the My Girl Cardstock Sticker sheets. I added foam tape to give some of those flowers dimension and I added Pearls from Kaiser for more detail.
1-2-3-Celebrate Collection - A beautifully vibrant birthday collection that can work for either boys or girls. This line offers fabulous stickers, die-cut pieces, letter stickers and gorgeous papers! What do seven years old little girls want for their birthdays? Apparently, an American Girl doll! That is all I heard about over the last 6 months. In the end, I admit it. I caved. So, we had a beautiful family party with a a Barbie cake, lots of presents, and an American Girl doll that looks exactly like my daughter. One of my favorite papers in this collection is the Eat Cake paper. I wanted to be able to see the majority of the birthday candles toward the top of the paper. Since I only took a few photos of the night, I decided to create a small collage of photos at the bottom of the page. I used a few embellishments from the 1-2-3-Celebrate die-cuts and the cardstock stickers to add the finishing details.
A card I created using the Celebrate paper, Fiskars Border punch and pearls! While I was creating, my daughter wanted to make a birthday card for an upcoming birthday party. I was so surprised what she showed me when she was done! She had copied the card I had just created including the pearls at the top of the birthday hat! Let's hear it for the 7 year old! LOL!
Victory Collection - Do you have kids in sports? The Victory line is a must have for your sports pages. Rugged and rough with beautiful colors and flourishes, this line can be used for sports pages for both sexes! My daughter's soccer team final picture of the season! These adorable kids are only in 1st grade, but they sure are competitive and like to have fun! Since the Team paper I used was perfectly designed, I only had to add the photo, the names of the players, and a few embellishments.
