Delicious Digital Layouts 4 comments

Be Warned: Lip-Smacking and Mouth-Watering Layouts Below

Posted by FairyMouseMom

You may be familiar with the song, "Food, Glorious Food" from the musical, "Oliver."  That is the first song that popped into my head when it came to writing up this reveal article.

"Food, Glorious Food"

Food, glorious food!
Hot sausage and mustard!
While we're in the mood --
Cold jelly and custard!
Pease pudding and saveloy!
What next is the question?
Rich gentlemen have it, boys --
In-di-gestion!

Food, glorious food!
We're anxious to try it.
Three banquets a day --
Our favourite diet!

Just picture a great big steak --
Fried, roasted or stewed.
Oh, food,
Wonderful food,
Marvellous food,
Glorious food.

Food, glorious food!
What is there more handsome?
Gulped, swallowed or chewed --
Still worth a kin's ransom.
What is it we dream about?
What brings on a sigh?
Piled peaches and cream , about
Six feet high!

Food, glorious food!
Eat right through the menu.
Just loosen your belt
Two inches and then you
Work up a new appetite.
In this interlude --
The food,
Once again, food
Fabulous food,
Glorious food.

Food, glorious food!
Don't care what it looks like --
Burned!
Underdone!
Crude!
Don't care what the cook's like.
Just thinking of growing fat --
Our senses go reeling
One moment of knowing that
Full-up feeling!

Food, glorious food!
What wouldn't we give for
That extra bit more --
That's all that we live for
Why should we be fated to
Do nothing but brood
On food,
Magical food,
Wonderful food,
Marvellous food,
Fabulous food,
Beautiful food,
Glorious food.

(Lyrics from the musical, Oliver)

This week ACOT's Digital Creative Team focused its reveal on FOOD.  We were asked to use our journaling to write about it....use our pictures to show it....just show us layouts that have anything to do with food.  Hopefully we wet your whistles and make you salivate with our pages below!!!

Recipe:  Caramels by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"This layout was created for ACOT'S Digital Creative Team Reveal: FOOD!!!
Our layouts are solely based on food whether we use pictures or not, journal about it, or basically do both. My layouts for this reveal will focus on both..pictures and recipes! I create these recipe layouts in a 12x12 size, but print them out to a 6x6 recipe album for each of my kids!"

Fondue by mommybruno (Cassandra)

"This is for the Digi CT Food reveal. Sometimes just the mere mention of a particular kind of food can trigger a memory. For me it's the fondue story about my grandmother. I love this story! I wish I had some pictures of that, but I do have a couple pictures of my mother enjoying some fondue on a different day.

The Great Party Fondues cookbook cover was downloaded off the internet. I put a worn photo overlay on it to age it up, and inked the edges of the other papers for the same reason. To help achieve a 70s feel, I used colors from that era, as well as the crocheted flowers. While I was looking up fondue on the web, I found the little tidbit that's on the rolodex card - it just goes so well with my mom's story!"

Cookie Marathon by Art_Teacher (Laura)

Laura created this layout about her holiday baking tradition.

Nutrition by sarahwhithers (Jennifer)

"I keep trying to tell myself to get in the daily requirements for food servings. But It rarely happens. Thought maybe a scrapbook page would inspire me! For the CT reveal this week where it's all about the Food!"

Turkey Legs by Smiley-Scrap8 (Ronny)

"This week's theme is food, and I find it a natural thing to scrap. I enjoy cooking and baking, and food is always attached to some sort of memory for me. This layout is great because it shows off something I enjoyed before started a family, and now I can share that enjoyment with my kids."

Cake Pops by janello (Janell)

"I made these cake pop cupcakes for my friend's cupcake themed baby shower! It was fun to take pictures throughout the process and then see the finished results all together in a layout."

Recipe:  Grill Your Meat by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"I make my recipe pages 12x12 in size and then downsize them to the size needed for my children’s recipe albums. They get to select what goes into each of theirs, but this is another one that I am adding without asking! I know they will appreciate it!!!"

Most Important Meal by mommybruno (Cassandra)

"You know what they say - breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And I do like my breakfast, LOL! Thought it might be fun to document what I'm eating right now, since it does change. Used to be I'd have a bowl of oatmeal with bananas in it when I got to work, now I eat before I go. And not as healthily, as you can see!"

Why I'll Never Be Thin by Art_Teacher (Laura)

Here Laura journals about her love for food.

Recipe:  Chocolate Caramel Pecan Cheesecake by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"I make my recipe pages 12x12 in size and then downsize them to the size needed for my children’s recipe albums. They get to select what goes into each of theirs, but this is one that I am adding without asking! Yep….it was that good!!!
I took the pictures of it when I made it for my daughter’s birthday dessert last month. When asked what she wanted for dessert she could not decide between a chocolate cake and cheesecake. So, when I found this, I thought….”Here I go again…killing two birds with one stone!” "

It's Not Thanksgiving Without by Art_Teacher (Laura)

"This layout is about my favorite Thanksgiving food, my Grandma's homemade noodles."

Like A Goat by mommybruno (Cassandra)

"This is for the Digi CT Food Reveal. My husband is an endless source of fun food stories. This past weekend I watched him devour some particularly disgusting food, so of course I thought of scrapping it. Honestly, this guy has a cast iron stomach! LOL!"

...and, last, but not least...a layout of something that goes along with food....

The Love Martini by scrappy69 (GUEST Digital CT Member)

"While on vacation recently I had my first Martini . . . named The Love Martini (I try to say it in a Barry White way for effect). The picture turned out so good, it deserved to be scrapped!"
