Digi Reveal: White On White 12 comments

Posted by MamaK321

This week ACOT's Digital Creative Team is bringing to you a WHITE ON WHITE reveal.  Our focus this week is brought to you in honor of our Winter season.  We created our layouts using papers and elements in shades of white.  Some of us added in a splash of color, too, but we tried to stick to the white color theme!

Beautiful Life by sarahwhithers (Jennifer)

"For this weeks digi Ct reveal we went with a monochrome theme of using white on white. All white everything! This was definitely a challenge, but I like the result!

Forever by Art_Teacher (Laura)

"White on white is always a challenge, but can create some beautiful effects. Being able to recolor to change the tint of a white is a very handy tool in digi. I used various white patterned papers and some white elements with some embossing to create my layout of my sister-in-law's wedding."

Smile by MamaK321 (Kristianne)

"Ah, I love this song by Uncle Kracker right now and totally wanted to do a layout with the lyrics.  I thought this lovey theme would fit nicely with the white -on- white reveal theme also. It was pretty easy finding lots of white elements to work with... just use layer effects or re-color elements to a lighter shade. I used a little bit of distressed cream along with bright white and bits of grey for contrast."

"This layout was created for ACOT's Digital Creative Team's reveal: White on White
I wanted to give more focus on the photos here...so I only used a couple of white papers and elements and added a splash of color in the corner with the glitter splat."

Snow Baby by janello (Janell)

"What I appreciated about this reveal is how it shows the variables in the color white. There are warm whites, cool whites, bright whites, etc. The variations really show when you scrap "white" on "white", whereas when you use a white element on any other background, it seems so simple and the shades of white are lost."

The Louvre by jjenni08 (Jennifer)

"This is a photo from my trip to Europe.  We made a stop at and toured The Louvre in Paris, France."

dtw airport by GRACEpunches5

"aliza, ellie and gavin hanging out at the Detroit airport."

Yum by Smiley-Scrap8 (Ronnie)

"This week we are honoring this winter season and snow by showing layouts all in white. This is a challenge for sure but I found these tips helpful: keep the photos in colors, use varying shades of white and use metal embellishments for a little contrast."

Bride by nun69 (Angie)

"...what better way than doing white on white than by doing a beautiful layout of my sister-in-law as a bride this past July!"

Beautiful Bride by Keling (Sara)

"I find when you're using white on white, you still need a touch of colour - pastels work brilliantly, as do very pale shades of gray.  The beautiful bride in this layout is my sister!"

A Cherry On Top would love to see how "white" you can go on your layouts.  Make sure you post them in the gallery here and let your brightness shine!

Here are some of the kits that were used in this Digital Creative Team Reveal.  You can find the links to these digital kits in the respective Creative Team Member's layout posted in her respective gallery.
