Digi Reveal: challenged 3 comments

The Digi Gals try their best at ACOT monthly challenges!

Posted by MamaK321

There are many of you ACOT fans that simply cannot wait for the monthly challenges to be posted at the beginning of every month (special thanks to Scrapgoo Jess who does that every month!), and many more make it a goal to complete as many of those challenges each month as possible - some of you have even said it's the challenges that keep you scrapping, even when times get tough or busy!

It certainly can take a lot of time to think up these challenges, write them out and create a sample layout to go along with it, and some of the challenges can be, well, rather challenging!

So how do you think our Digi gals can measure up to your challenge pros out there? Can we hack the challenges our teammates produce? Well, to put the team to the test, we challenged the Digi Team to try out some of the more recent challenges. I think you'll agree with me... they were definitely up to the CHALLENGE!

JUST VISITING, by sarahwithers

"The digi CT reveal this week is to feature some of our favorite monthly or crop challenges. I went with the sketch challenge cuz I love doing them! They're great inspiration and the one's that ACOT has been putting out have been amazing! (thanks Juliana!). The sketch I used was from the January 2010 challenges."

Piled Higher and Deeper, by Art_Teacher

"One of my favorite challenges is the Ad Inspiration challenge. I am drawn to the graphic nature of advertising and I think it translates well into scrapping layouts. This layout was inspired by the December, 2009 Ad Inspiration Challenge."

Breathtaking View, by MamaK321

"[Breathtaking View was created] for the Digital CT reveal highlighting some of the amazing monthly challenges privided by the entire ACOT CT. I chose the Supply List Challenge provided by Beth (subbed in by Pam for the month of February). I really like a challenge that tells me exactly what type of product to use and the hunt to find the perfect kit or combination of products to fit those requirements. A layout that I create while following a challenge, usually gives me a greater sense of accomplishment.

Feb Supply Challenge: use fabric, glitter, a heart

Hot Chocolate is a Good Thing, by Janello

"Challenges are always inspiring, I love checking out the challenge galleries to see how each member interprets them differently. I chose to scrap the sketch challenge, I love sketches, they are great whenever you are in a bind or want a great composition that you don't have to think too hard to get. I love that this sketch was drawn up by one of our very own cherries."

Bring Him Home, by davsar

"For this reveal we each chose a challenge from the monthly or crop challenges. I chose to do the Musical Inspiration Challenge by Kimandasmo to create a layout inspired by a song from my favorite musical. I'd have a hard time naming a favorite musical - I love far too many. But the song "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables has touched a cord with me lately because of the things we are facing with our son."

Nicholas @ 26 Months, by ksbella

"This week the Digi CT Team challenge is to feature some of our favourite monthly challenges. I went with the November Colour Challenge ad I havent scrapped with those two colours together before, but I loved the outcome! Good for nature layouts, it went perfectly with this picture of our youngest son."

Tokens of Love, by Smiley-Scrap8

"This week's reveal is all about feeling the challenge. I chose to make a layout using the February Countdown Challenge by sarahwhithers.
5-hearts
4-love words
3-different shades of red paper
2-kinds of flowers
1-rubon or stamp
Challenges are great because when you have so many choices it can very overwhelming. By limiting your choices to meet a challenge creative ideas show up that my not have crossed your mind before. Try it, you'll love it!"

A Boy of Many Hats, by Keling

"I used to LOVE challenges, and before I was on the CT, I would try to do all of them every month - that is until life got really busy... LOL! But, seriously, challenges can really get you thinking and help you 'scrap outside the box'. When I saw the February Photography challenge - take pictures of someone you love wearing their favourite hat - I just KNEW I had to create a page about my 7yro son, Tommy! The boy is MAD about HATS! Now, I didn't have to take any new photos, as, as you can see, I have tonnes of photos of him wearing different hats, and trust me, there were many more photos to choose from!"

Do you like challenges? Our new March challenges will be up in just a few days. Keep an eye out on the ACOT Home page, on the Message Board and in the Resources section!

Did you like what you saw in this reveal? Here are some of the awesome products used by our savvy Digi team!
