Digi Scrapping in 30 Minutes or Less 3 comments

Short on Time? have you got 30 mins...then you want to read this!

Posted by nun69

So you say you are short on time? You have soccer practice to get to, homework to get done, laundry to fold, kids to bathe, dinner to cook and dishes to clean!  Well the Digi CT is here to show you just what you can do in 30 mins or less

First we want to give you a few tips on getting started:

1. pick out the photos you want to scrap with

2. edit said photos {and save if you are short on time to insert later}

3. pick a quick page or template you want to work with

4. pick a kit or kits that you want to use

5. now open your program, open "saved" pictures and open your QP/Template

6. insert your picture into your QP or template or arrange them on your LO they you like

7. if you are doing a QP, all you have to do is add a title or some journaling or you can just leave it as is and SAVE! DONE!

8. if you are using a template, then open all the papers and elements from the kit you want to use and just start piling them on your template! Then add a title or journal and VIOLA DONE!

9. Another thing you can do to make a quick 2nd page, is flip your first page and just add new pictures and maybe some more embellishments....

10. So don't get discouraged if you don't get it done in less than 30 mins, just keep plugging along! This  just gives you a good basis on getting organized and started!

Here are some GREAT examples of LO's using templates!

For the Digi CT reveal this week we're showing you how to get a page done in 30 mins or less. For my page I planned everything out ahead of time. I went with a template for quick set-up, I picked out my kits and pictures ahead of time (yum Jon Bon Jovi! I know Laura will love this one!! haha!). So with everything planned, I just plopped in papers and elements, keeping pretty close to the template, and poof! All done with 2 minutes still to spare!

Scrapping can be time consuming but we want to show how you can scrap your memories in record time. To be honest it took me 31 minutes to complete this layout because I had trouble finding the date I took the photos. So if your in a rush, find the photos and date, chose your kit/s and template and plan out any journaling the day before. Then when you are really assemble your layout in no time flat

so for this LO combination I picked 2 different templates and was done in less than an hour {28 mins left side, 27 mins right side}...the key is to get all of your photos picked out and edited, then pick a template and kit/kits and you are set...all the rest is basically clipping to your template! Then add however many embellishments you like...I added very few embellisshments to this 2 pager because I want the emphasis to be on the photos!

I basically made the page {without the pics} in less than 30 mins..but I have to admit it did take me a little longer to pick my pictures! But once it was done, I basically just duplicated the left side of the page, rotated it, added some extra elements, changed the pics and DONE! Give it a try!

This layout took me about 35 mins. I used a template and it was easy, but I kept changing the papers and moving things around. I could have spent less time, but I was being particular. This is a good example of how sometimes we just aren't "in love" with the finished results, but they can still be acceptable and fun to scrap!

another great way to save time is to "SCRAPLIFT' another LO!

by Janell

This took me 29 minutes. I decided to scraplift one of the Bella Gyspy CT members Kim and her layout using the same exact kit. It was easy because I had the same kit and then just used her design as a scraplifting/sketch guide...added my own twist and ended up with a super easy 30 minute layout!

page 2. This one took me 24 minutes and that includes uploading the layout here at ACOT. This one was so simple because I took the foundation of the "page 1" and just moved around my elements and added more pictures and journaling. Most of the time when I do 2 page layouts the second page just comes so much faster than the first one!

and you can even do something HYBRID in 30 mins....don't BELIVE me, check out what Ronny did below!!!!

My son is learning to read and is a crazy kid who loves flash cards. So I made him a personalized box of flash cards for his reading words. I make it quick and easy by using a cool Crayon Box template by Sweet Digi scraps for the box and now I can add new flash cards as he learns by opening my psd file and type up the words. The set up on the computer took me 15 minutes, the printing took 5 and the cutting and glueing took 10 minutes, all together 30 minutes. And I'm excited to have a little gift I know he will love.
