Express Yourself in Journaling 5 comments

Journal From the Heart

Long has it been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. But what if you don't have a picture?? You can use those thousand words instead, to tell your story, express your emotions and remember so many more precious details than a still snapshot of an event could convey.  This week, the Digital Creative Team shares a few different ways that you can put your words to work on your layouts. So lay aside your camera for the time being, it may be difficult at first try but you'll soon find it easy to let your heart to the talking.

Scrapping a layout with absolutely no photo and only journaling can be tough, we know. So to begin, try using a very small photo, more as an accent really, and let your words take center stage.

An easy layout to create without any photos is to use a favorite poem or song lyrics as your journaling and a great kit to decorate the page with.

The next step would be to scrap a layout using no photo at all. Let the emotions take over and flow forth, allowing the reader to create a beautiful picture of the event in their mind.

Finally, one of the coolest ways to scrap a layout without any photos, is to use the kit embellishments to help you tell the story, by arranging them as the images.
