The About A Girl line from Fancy Pants is one of my new favorites! I really have not been inspired to create like this in a long time. The colors are fun and bright and there are so many great patterns. There is a new alpha set that is really cute, a new package of Tags and Titles, a great selection of cardstock stickers and some fun transparencies. If you have a girl in your life of any age, you need this line! I also managed to sneak a boy layout in, too, so there really is something for everyone!
Imagination
I first sprayed the background cardstock with two different colors of spray ink (Glimmer Mist or Smooch Spritz work great!). Then I used the curved piece of the Strips sheet for a layer. Most of my layouts have straight lines, so this curved line adds some interest to the layout. Using the new alpha stickers to make the title run along the curve is another eye-catching trick on this layout. I traced one of the stickers from the sticker sheet to make the journaling spot and added a few butterflies and some bling.

Happy Spring!
I actually had this picture saved for another paper line, but when I got the About A Girl papers home I knew they were a perfect match! This layout has several scalloped strips as layers- I am in L.O.V.E. with the new EK Success scalloped border punches! I first stitched the larger paper on the layout, then used a small bit of adhesive to hold the scalloped strips in place while I stiched those as well. There are so many fun patterns on these papers and one way to incorporate a lot of them on one page without being overwhelming is to use them in smaller pieces like the strips on this page. The journaling spot is from the the Tags and Titles pack and tied with twine.

My Valentine
If you're not into the brighter colors, there are some more subdued papers in this line, too. Once again I seemed to have the perfect pictures for these papers! I arranged my photos, then made a few flowers from the ribbon pack. The gathered strip under the photos is actually paper! To do this, I cut the strip of paper (this was about 2 x 12 inches long) and made a running stitch down the middle (that is just a simple up and down through the paper stitch). I then ran the paper quickly under the running faucet and that made it soft enough to pull the loose strings at the end and gather the paper. You do have to pull gently so the paper doesn't rip. Once the paper was dry, I pulled the thread out and used Glue Dots to adhere it to the paper.

Wish
Like I said- there is something for everyone, so here's the boy layout I promised! I cut out a clip-art star I had in Microsoft Word and used it as a mask to cover my white cardstock. After that, I stitched in two colors around the white space, then layered the photo and several strips on top of that. I used one of the cardstock stickers as a journaling spot and randomly placed several buttons from the button package around the page. Isn't it funny how precisely you tend to place your "randomly placed" buttons? LOL!

I really couldn't stop creating with this line! While I love to collect rub-ons, I don't seem to use them much, but these were too cute to keep in the package! I decided to make some gift tags using some office supply tags I picked up at Staples. This is a fast and easy way to dress up a gift- the tags and strings are already for you and you just have to take a few minutes to add a rub-on and some bling or buttons to dress it up. These are also great as quick little thank-you notes or just something to brighten someone's day! I sprayed a little Pearl Glimmer Mist on them to add a little sparkle, too.
