I always get the itch to create this time of year, but time and money can be in limited supply with all the gift shopping that needs to be done. So why not use the supplies you already have stashed on your computer. And if you're like me, you don't often buy holiday themed paper. I have no idea why, but right this minute I do not have a single piece of Thanksgiving or Christmas themed paper in my scrap room, but I do have a hard drive full of designs from every holiday just waiting to be printed and turned in to something wonderful.
So check out these truly creative crafts the Digi CT have come up with for the reveal.
Hybrid Halloween Chinese Take-Out Box by Stacy (1luckymama), Oct Guest Digi CT
What a fun idea from Stacy! It is so easy to print and cut any themed embellishment to attach to your project.

Hybrid Halloween Fry Boxes and Greeting Cards by Jennifer (sarahwhithers)
Jennifer says "All these items are hybrid! I printed off Halloween paper and elements and made some fry boxes out of it, as well made a digi card, printed it and pasted to cardstock to make a birthday card for my sister. It's so easy and a great way to get a double use of those Digi kits!"

Hybrid Halloween Nesting Boxes by Angie (nun69)
Angie says "this week's reveal is all about hybrid holidays! I saw these ADORABLE nested boxes and just couldn't pass up the opportunity to make my own! I got the template from the cutting cafe' and it was so worth $3.99 because I will be using it over and over! And what better kit to use than this wonderful kit by SAS Designs~even though it is not a Halloween kit, it has WONDERFUL Halloween/Fall colors and was perfect for this project!"

Halloween Hybrid Basket by Sarah (davsar)
Sarah says "I just love Halloween!! So I've been busy trying to get a few fun gifts made and hybrid is an easy way to create and duplicate easily."

Happy Halloween Greeting Card by Jennifer (JennK)
Jenn made this great card for her niece and nephew as she would a digital layout, then it was easy for her to print and fold. Just imagine if you needed 20 cards, most of your work is only done once.

Hybrid Halloween Card and Treat Can by Janell (janello)
Janell says "I made these treat cans and Halloween cards by first digitally designing how and what I wanted the can and card to look like and then I printed them out, trimmed edges, inked, and glued. I think they turned out cute with the raffia. I love this mini kit by Amy Teets. She made great crafting colors a twist on the Halloween traditional colors."

Janell even shows what her digital files look like before they are printed and assembled.

Hybrid Thanksgiving Place Cards by Karin (mayerkt)
Karin says "Place Cards - Two ways!
I did one set of place cards to set right on the plate, and another to put on candy boxes to set beside the plate. I couldn't decide which ones I liked better, so I'm posting both :) I opened the critters in photoshop, dragged the cloud on top and typed each person's name inside (in this case, Mommy, Daddy, Liam & Baby). I saved and printed the critters, and then also printed the trees/leaves. I cut each item out with scissors, and used 3D mounting tape to adhere the owls to the trees. Then I embellished with ribbon, bows and staples.
Voila! Beautiful place settings for any Autumn or Thanksgiving meal!"

Giving Thanks Hybrid Box by Ronny (Smiley-scrap8)
Ronny says "This week's reveal is all about using digital kits in fun ways to make hybrid holiday crafts. I've been wanting to make this box for years now. Each year I hope that as a family we can write down the things we are thankful for to read around our Thanksgiving table. It took me forever to convince my dh that his friend would not want the 5 year old cigars and to let me through them out so that I could alter the cool wooden box they came in. I love making "mini layouts" (as I call them) to cover my altered projects, then they do not need much extra embellishment. Which worked out great for this because I needed to seal it in mod podge so that is would last for years to come."

Hybrid Christmas Recipe Box by Laura (Art_Teacher)
Laura says "I made this recipe box for our family's treasured Christmas cookie recipes. I plan to use the kit to create recipe cards, too."

Hybrid Holiday Crafts by Kristianne (MamaK321)
Kristianne just couldn't stop once she started planning her hybrid crafts. She's already preparing for future holidays by creating Christmas, Birthday and Valentines themed hybrid crafts. She says, "Using a Cricut machine to cut the basic templates, all I needed to do was design digital pieces to fit the dimensions. So Easy!"
