I Scream, You Scream, We ALL Scream for Ice Cream!!!!! 6 comments

 Yep...that 's right...it is summer and this week's digi reveal is all about Ice Cream!!!! But just try to think out of the box and all the ways you could scrap with ice cream:

for example:

1. obiviously ice cream as your main subject

2. use your favorite ice cream colors and scrap a LO {say your favorite is rainbow  sherbert, you could scrap a LO using green, orange and pink....if your favorite is neoploitan you can scrap with pink, brown and cream...my favorite is strawberry so I can scrap a pink LO}

3. scrap your favorite childhood ice cream flavor

4. scrap about the ice cream man and if you always managed to get something from the ice cream truck everytime it came around

5. scrap you favorite summer cold treat! {doesn't have to be ice cream, just something cold}

6. use Van Halen's Ice Cream Man song lyrics on a LO or for LO inspiration

so here are some FABULOUS examples from our Digital Creative Team

Janell says "You would think that that everyone loves ice-cream, right? Well Maya doesn’t. We can’t figure it out. It’s probably the cold feeing that she doesn’t enjoy, because you seem to enjoy other sweet treats! I wonder if it is something you will out grow in the future, but for now this two year old is content with a cookie rather than an ice-cream cone "

And does it get anymore summery than this fun, sticky gooey popsicle that her son LOVES to eat!!

When we were in Jamaica I tried a local favorite there....Grapenut icecream, I know it sounds odd, but it was SOOOO good. My brother in law took this picture of his bowl. I guess I ate mine too fast to take a picture :)

Angie says" What better way to scrap ice cream than with this fabulous kit "Double Dipped" by Bella Gypsy

Angie also did a LO with based on her favorite ice cream flavor strawberry! She put a "twist" on it and scrapped a totally PINK LO about her daughter's new bedroom!

Angie also did this LO of her kids enjoying some treats from the ice cream man. Funny thing is her son says "popthikle" and Bella Gypsy has a great "Popthikle" Kit uploaded to the shoppe and worked perfect for these pics!

Check out this FABULOUS ice cream hybrid project that Ronny did! She made this little project of her DD and friends from her DD"s birthday sleep over!!!

Ronny says "This week's reveal is all about cool and creamy ice cream. My kids are obsessed with the ice cream truck and after waiting weeks they finally got their reward. Of course I had to photograph and scrap that. And I also had to find a kit with colors as bright as the sweet treat my ds was eating."

Ronny also says: "I wanted to use the feeling of the Ice Cream shop to inspire the colors of my layout. We visited this little ice cream shop on our spring break trip and we enjoyed the ice cream and the history. So I chose to give my layout an older feel using the browns and giving my photos a sepia tone."

Brittney says "For the reveal this week the focus is Ice Cream! I totally had to scrap a page on my love of my favorite flavor- Vanilla. I know its simple, but its the best!"

Art_Teacher

Laura says: "I love ice cream, but my absolute favorite is Edy's Slow Churned Double Fudge Brownie! Tastes rich, with 1/2 the fat...I should be making a commercial. LOL!"

Danna says "This layout showcases our family's love of ice cream. Kit is "Double Dipped" by Bella Gypsy. I took the ice cream graphic in the kit, cut off the cone and stacked them high and colored each to represent a different flavor (like mint chocolate chip-my favorite and cappuccino chunky chocolate-DH's favorite). There was a book when I was a kid that had Grover from Sesame Street working in an ice cream parlor and he was going through all the flavors and had a huge stacked cone...anyone remember that? That's what inspired this part. I also made a neopolitan background out of the solids in the kit."

 Just a few products used in this week's reveal!
