Imaginisce Happy Camper 5 comments
you'll be one happy camper when your pages come together in record time!Posted by megamay I honestly don't know if I have ever worked with Imaginisce before, but I just loved the colors of this line, Happy Camper. Since we were going camping I thought it would be just perfect! As it turned out, I did have a little trouble using some of the stuff because we went BEACH camping, which turned out to be really different than regular camping, but we still made smores and had a campfire, so it worked. And the rich colors and sumptuous texture of this line are just to die for! All the little extras also really helped to make my pages come together quickly!
I started by cutting the borders apart from the border sheet. I had two of those, so I still had one that I could use for the green on the back side. It was really nice to have all these coordinating borders to choose from.
I used a pagemaps sketch to start here. I only had three photos, instead of four, so I made one of my photos larger and kept everything else pretty much the same. I used the orange on the circle behind the blue bird, the orange on the journaling tag and the orange bird to create a visual triangle. Finally, for the circle under the little blue bird, I used my punch on the leftover part from the die cut sheet. It was a great beige/off white color, and I had that color showing around the edges of the large bird - since it came from the die cut sheet, and also the journaling spot was almost the same color, so I wanted to pull it in somewhere else too.
I wanted to tweak the colors on this page and bring out the blues and oranges. I stamped a row of trees above the strips using versamark ink for a watermark effect.
For this page I made the most of die cuts. The trees, campfire and clouds all came from the die cut set. They made this page come together super quick!
This card is super simple and unique at the same time. I used the large camper die cut for the front of the card. I made a crease along the line that is just below the top of the door, then I glued the top part, above the crease, to the background paper. I made sure to add a white piece of cardstock underneath so that there is a place to write that makes the writing visible.
My in-laws just moved into a new house, and I thought that the colors of this line were so warm and home-y that they would make a great new house card.
