Learn To Create An Amazing Mini Chipboard Album 1 comments

Posted by nun69

It's easy to create this fabulous chipboard album with the step-by-step instructions below

The Theme for my Album is actually just a compilation of summer memories. So there was really no reasoning for the pics I chose and I even left some blank spots to add pics later!

1. I started with pulling out all of my paper from inside the yellow bicycle paper pad {it has shaped papers already in the pad so you do not have to worry about tracing them and cutting them out

2. if you are not using the same supplies or would like to use one of the non-shaped papers all you have to do is trace the shape of the page {acrylic or chipboard page} on your piece of paper and cut it out. I had to do this because my sunshine/yellow paper was cut wrong in my paper pad so the holes did not match up with the holes in the chipboard!

3. then I laid out the order I wanted to put the papers in my album...I started with the back page and worked my way forward. I stacked the 2 pieces for each page on top of each other {I did NOT cover the back piece of chipboard}...I also only covered 1 side of each of the acrylic pieces....

4. now do NOT throw away your scraps or other extra pieces of paper!

5. OPTIONAL :then I stamped the edges of all my papers {I did front and back just in case I changed my mind and wanted to flip the papers around...and I actually did end up doing this. I just used a brown stamp pad and went along the edges...

6. Start decorating your pages anyway you like. NOTE: SAVE your clear stickers until later so you can use these to decorate your acrylic pages}...I started again in the back and worked my way forward! that way I could  lay the pages aside as I did them and then just stack them one on top of the other....I really had no method or reason on how I decorated them! I also decorated some pages with photos and some without since I don't have any photos printed from last summer or this summer. OPTIONAL: also when I matted my photos on cardstock or paper I also stamped around the edges of my photo mat.

7. I added matching cardstock, letter stickers, flowers, ribbons and brads that I had extra that were just laying in my stash! so check out your stash!!! it paid for me to have a nice organized scrappy room.

8. Now when you get to the acrylic pages decide which paper you want to use and which side of the acrylic you would like it on...make sure to use clear adhesive of some sort to adhere your paper...I used an ATG but you can use clear dots, clear tape, or even some liquid glue dries clear. I alternated and placed a few papers on the front of the acrylic and a few on the backside....

as you can see, the lines of my adhesive are showing throw because of my flash on my camera...they are really not that noticable to the naked eye :P

9. Then I decorated my acrylic pages with my clear stickers and photos!! and any other little embellies I could find....

10. OPTIONAL: if you have any stickles around these were so much fun to use to outline stickers and put little flower dots and outline flip flops all throughout the album! MAKE SURE you let your pages dry before you flip them over to do the backside of your page {I did all of my front pages with stickels...let them ALL Dry..then flipped them over and used the stickles on the backsides of the pages}....

{I do NOT do stickles on every page}

12. After everything is dry....put your album together on the rings

 13.  Now look through your album and see if you have any blank spots that you would like to add some embellishments too {word strips, journaling, stickers, etc} and add them now .

14. Once you  have it all done, take some matching ribbon from your stash and tie it onto the little metal rings holding your album togther and VIOLA!!!! you are all done!!!!!
