Merry Hybrid! 3 comments
Christmas cards made hybrid stylePosted by sarahwhithers Tis the season for card making! Christmas is definitely a season for card making with the scrapper, whether it be with paper or digitally. With so many options out there, why not do both? For our teams Digi CT Reveal this week, we have made up some hybrid cards. Using digital kits and paper supplies to make some cards you'd be proud to give out! _______________________________________________________________ milmomma - Brittany This weeks digital reveal we are featuring Hybrid Christmas cards. I took your traditional 4x8 photo card and tweaked it to make it more scrappy. I printed extra presents on the side and cut those out. Added a pop up dot under them for more dimension. I added pearls on top to accent the animals and presents. Another for this weeks digital reveal with hybrid Christmas cards. I decided to try some more normal sized 5x7's so I could mail them. Sticking with the picture card type idea, I did it like a mini layout with picture, elements and added a sentiment as my title. I once again printed extra elements to layer them on top of the duplicate. I added touches of pearls to the flower centers to bling it up but keep it small enough to still mail. I just love adding dimension in digital and paper scrapbooking. With a few pearls this card was super simple and perfect to mail off to family. Keling - Sarah Photo cards are almost a must for families around the holidays - and of course they need to be printed! These were printed on matte paper, but look even more brilliant when printed on photo paper - and they're lighter and cheaper to send, too! I love doing cards digitally - they're perfectly customizable and always come out great looking! These were so simple! I created the layers and then printed them onto cardstock, and then printed the embellishment, trimmed it out, and adhered to the top with foam tabs! sarahwhithers - Jennifer
My next 2 cards for the Digi CT reveal of Hybrid cards is using the kit This Golden Christmas by Tempus Fugit. This kit had elements already gorgeously shadowed in it, so it was easy to just add in items. Once I made the cards up I Added some stickles and little gems to give the cards a nice shine! My last 2 cards for the digi Ct reveal for hybrid cards is using the kit Magical Christmas by SAS Designs. For these two I made up the cards BG's and on the first card added some stickles for a bit of shine and on the second card I printed out one of the present elements in the kit and pop dotted that to the card plus added some little gems for some added bling. FairyMouseMom - Egle printed out 2 per photo sheet and used a sheet of cardstock as the backing. I cut out the present embellishment and added pop-dot adhesive stickers to the back of them to give it some added depth. DolphinSoul - Carissa I am definitely not a card maker so this was a challenge for me, but now I have fallen in love with creating them by using digital elements!! Everything on this card is created from either digital elements or recycled materials from old Christmas Cards I had received through the years. The foundation of this card is actually an old blank card inside, so it was easy to cover over and create! So now that you all have the inspiration, get out there and make those holiday hybrid cards!
