PARTS is PARTS 8 comments
......Template Parts, that is!!!!Posted by FairyMouseMom Anyone else remember that Wendy's commercial with "parts is parts" being said by the employee to a customer? Well, we have taken that phrase and put it into our digital reveal this week! Our challenge this week was to use PART of a template and make a new layout using that part. The easiest way to do this is to copy and paste that part onto a new file and work from there! Five of our Digital Creative Team Members took part in this challenge and here is what we have to show for it. 4ever by FairyMouseMom (Egle) "The "PARTS" I used were the swirl flourishes and hearts from Kelly's template, which I cut and pasted, and then copied and flipped to make it "fit" with my circular photo. I also use a "PART" from Anita's template...the strip along the bottom on which I placed my name." (Kelly's and Anita's templates are pictures below)
You Color My World by CamsMomma (Jackie)
Can you see how Jackie took that one template and created that huge matte to help anchor her photo and embellishments? (Christine's template is shown below) You Guys Are My Shining Stars by nun69 (Angie) "...I decided to use just the stars part of the template to make my layout...." (Anita's template is pictured below)
Cherish the Memories by janello (Janell)
"For this layout I actually took bits and pieces of two templates and created my own. The first was a 8.5x11 template by Kelly Shults and the second a 12x12 by Anita Stergiou." (Kelly's and Anita's templates are shown below)
Camping? by bamablue (Glenda) See how Glenda used the arrow from Julie's template for her layout? (See Julie's template below)
"In this layout, I actually used two sections ("parts") from two separate templates and made a new layout from them." (Marcie's template kit is shown below)
FUNkins by FairyMouseMom (Egle) "Here, I used the negative strip from one of Julie Mead's templates...and the word "FUN" from another of her templates....and came up with this new layout." (Julie's template kit is shown below) So, with this reveal, we wanted to show you that there are many more uses for the templates. You do NOT have to follow exactly what is there. Templates are not "set in stone." Take bits and pieces and use them in a new way. We would love to see what you can create by using this technique.
