Person, Place or Thing 4 comments
Posted by Smiley-Scrap8 Sometimes we can get stuck in a rut, I know for myself I tend to scrap the same subject matter in the same way time after time. I mostly scrap my kids and what they are up to. What is your go to theme? For this reveal we wanted to show off topics or themes that are out of our comfort zone. Or if we scrapped a common theme we did it in a new or fresh way. By choosing a person, place or thing we are able to narrow our focus to make a topic easier to zero in on. Person: I am mother by Janell
"For this reveal we focused on scrapping people, places, and things we don't normally scrap about. I decided to scrap about myself...I rarely do. Journaling: This is me mother of three. No beauty as one so small whispering sweetly in your ear... ”I love you Mommy.” No pain so strong than the thought of letting my little ones down. No doubt in the love of my calling...i am a mother." Create Family by Ronny (Smiley-Scrap8)
"This is a very uncommon layout from me, because it's about me. Well actually it's about the new baby on the way but you get what I mean. LOL, even when I try to make a layout about someone other than my children it still ends up being about them. Really it is about me because it's taken me until my 3rd pregnancy to become comfortable enough to show off photos like this." My Sister Tiffany by Jennifer (sarahwhithers)
"For the Digi Reveal this week we're doing pages on a Person, Place or Thing. I decided to do it on someone I rarely scrapbook about, my sister!" Sleepover by Angie (nun69)
Angie chose to make a layout about her daughter and a much dreamed about sleepover with a friend. When preserving memories about out children is always good to capture the relationships with special friends. Place: Paris (hybrid) by Angie (nun69)
"this week's reveal is all about person place or thing...I have been trying to do my bathroom up and when I say this kit with the Eiffel Toer in it,it was PERFECT for a hybrid project I wanted to do! So how is that for PLACE :) I printed the grey background with the Eiffel tower on it 8x8 then I printed the flowers {and cut them out with a heart punch}, bird and butterflies out on a seperate sheet and cut them out. Folded them and placed them on the background paper with pop dots and sticky dots :) Then I framed it with a piece of 10x10 piece of black cardstock and put it in a 10x10 frame witout the glass!" Port Antonio by Janell
"For our Person, Place, Thing reveal, I chose to scrap pictures from Port Antonio, Jamaica. It's one of our favorite vacation places." ATA by Ronny (Smiley-Scrap8)
"For this reveal this is the place I chose to scrap. My kids just started taekwondo and it's proven to be a positive change in our entire family. Normally I would have just made a layout of my kids accomplishments but changing the focus to the actual building and people who work there is a great change of pace." Thing: Posted: No Fishing by Ronny (Smiley-Scrap8)
"This is my THING, hee hee. I usually only scrap my kids so turning my attention to something new was very different. It was fun using a kit that had just the right theme for my page. It's important to scrap the "things" you see when you look around. Chances are fifty years from now they may no longer be around." Flowers from Joe by Cassie (Mommybruno)
"This is for the People, Places and Things CT Reveal. I wanted to document the beautiful flowers DH got me for Valentine's Day. He's not normally a flower guy, so when he does give me some it's a big deal. I took lots of pictures of the individual flowers and this was a good way to showcase them." I want to run by Janell
"This layout represents my "thing" in our person, place, thing, reveal. Something I want to scrap about, but don't normally. My new Nike Free shoes. So excited!" I think. . . . by Susanne_79 (Guest Digi CT)
Person, Place, or Thing" is the name of our reveal. I really never scrap our cats any more, so here is a page about my little kitty. Nighttime Routine by Angie (nun69)
"I have been meaning to scrap about what I do on a nightly basis for awhile. Every night before I go to bed, I shut off all the lights downstairs, make sure the temp is warm enough for the night, and then I check on all the kids one by one. I usually have to shut extra lights off in Ben’s room and shut his closet door. I always have to shut Abby’s door and if Peyton’s door is shut and his light is off, then he is OUT! 99% of the time I am telling Sam to “go to bed”." We do hope you have enjoyed this and you have been inspired to scrap something a little different. Here are a few new kits we used for these layouts: Posted by Smiley-Scrap8 Reader Comments ... 3/5/11 10:17 am
