Tuesday, January 5, 2010 Prima! 11 comments Featuring the Blooming Retro and Wink lines.Posted by bluejeans7 on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 I have always loved Prima's flowers but I hadn't used any of their paper lines yet. I know shame on me. So when I saw their two new paper lines in the ACOT shop I decided it was time. The Blooming Retro line is funking and I love the colors. Not only would this line work great for everyday photos but I think it would be awesome for Fall photos too. With the Wink line the colors and patterns are even prettier in person. This line is so easy to work with, and that's coming from someone who is so not a girly girl. I love how I was able to create both a baby layout and a teenager layout all with the same line! Oh and my favorite thing about these lines is that all the papers are double sided! I love double sided papers!! I hope you all try the Blooming Retro and Wink lines for yourself, you won't be sorry. Always - I started with the Cocoa paper on this layout because I totally love the design on it. I then used the Cotton Clouds and Raindrop Sprinkles papers to highlight my photo. Like I said before I loved this background paper so much that I decided to bring it out by adding pearls to accent the flowers in the design of the paper. All that was left to do then was add the beautiful Homespun Elegance Turquoise flower and my title, which I created with Making Memories Tiny Alpha stickers and American Crafts Thickers.
Growing Cute Pumpkins - I love the muted colors and funking designs of the Blooming Retro line. I think this line is perfect for Fall photos so I decided that's what my next layout would be. I used the Apple Tree paper for the background and used the Pumpkin Pie and Origami Gardens for accent papers. I wanted "Fall" colored flowers so I paired the Homespun Elegance Orange flower with the orange flower out of the Fleur Danseur Pirouette package. I think they look very nice together. I scrapped a photo of my children from October 2002 together with a photo of them from October 2009 and that's how I came up with my title: Growing Cute Pumpkins (both of my kids were born in the Fall).
Sweet Baby Cheeks - Check out how cute my baby girl is, okay was back in 1997. LOL! I found these sweet pictures of Marissa and thought they were perfect for the Wink line. I used the Little Miss, Baby Blues and Devine Diva papers to create this layout. Flowers, flowers and more flowers......I love Prima flowers! I used a mix of the Cherry Woodstock and Country Elegance Rose flowers together. The flower centers are Mocha and Turquoise, with two KaiserCraft Teal Pearls on the smallest flowers.
She's Really 13! - Okay where did the time go? How is it possible that my daughter is now a teenager? These are the questions I was thinking when I started this layout and that is also how I got my title. Starting with the First Love paper as my background, I then had fun layering with the Arbor Rose, Baby Blues, and Rosalee papers. My cluster of flowers are a mix of the Fleur Danseur Cabriole, Fleur Danseur Basque and Country Elegance Rose flowers. The Country Elegance Rose flowers are accented with Prima Mocha Flower Centers and KaiserCraft Chino Pearls.
