Wednesday, November 11, 2009 Scrap Your Travels With TPC Studio Line 16 comments WanderlustPosted by JulesinParadise on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 Since my husband and I retired, one of our favorite things to do is travel and see new things or revisit places near and dear to our hearts. This is why, when our tenth anniversary rolled around, we decided to spend it in Italy, the country of romance! Upon our return from our 7 day travels through the country, I scrapped many of the 300 plus pictures I had taken. But, as time went on, I moved on to other 'adventures' and my Italy album lanquished, unfinished, in my closet. Just recently, thanks to my pal, Pam, I found the new Paper Adventures' TPC Studio lines. Out came the unscrapped photos and off I took. Each layout was a visit back in time to the wonder of Italy. We will go back.
Rome was enchanting. We were wined and dined and toured for 3 of our 7 days and I would not have missed a moment of any of it. Having just read the Dan Brown thriller, The DiVinci Code, shortly before we left for Italy, I could hardly wait to visit Vatican City. It was all more than I could have hoped for. Each room, each vista...ah, bueno! The only picture I was able to snap of the famous Swiss Guard in their wonderfully archaic uniforms turned out to be slightly blurry. I had been avoiding scrapping it til now. The wonderful Columns Luster paper helped me to focus on the photo and ignore the blur. This line has inspired me to finish my album.
And then, an interruption in my scrapping! Friends of ours, Janet and Bob, invited us to be their guests for the day at the Ringling Estate where they are members. We could not resist as, while this place had been on our Bucket List since moving this way in Florida, we had yet to visit the estate in Sarasota. We started with lunch, moved on to Ringling, hit the Circus Museum, the home, the International Arts Festival with the Asian performances and the Museum itself. We had supper and then headed back to their home on Anna Maria Island for the night. While I could have done an entire album of our 24 hours of bliss, I elected to do a mini album on the layout, highlighting the events of the day. This is a 6 panel mini album that consists of 2 12inch long 5 inch high sections of cardstock. To make this, overlay two of the end sections and adhere. Decorate both sides of the mini album, adhere the bottom panel to the layout and tie the ribbons that are placed under the top and bottom sections.
The mini album opens to the right.
and to the left
which allowws ten more pages for photos! So, panning a trip or having just gotten back (like me...5 years ago?lol), be sure to check out the Paper Adventures new TPC Studio lines! Products Used:
