Scrapbooking With Little Yellow Bicycle 12 comments
A walk on the BoardwalkPosted by 4peasinourpod Summer.
The possibilities are endless with the hot weather topic - swimming, picnics, parties and countless other activities. Traditionally, I think bright yellows, royal blue, kelly green - all bright and fun colors. So, when I saw the slightly muted colors of Little Yellow Bicycle's Boardwalk line, I was intrigued. I live in Wisconsin, and our summers are shorter than most, so I decided..."what the heck!" I can always use it for Easter. So....let me show you what I did! First of all, I did a layout of my niece and my daughter. These two are a year apart, but they look incredibly alike, and have a special bond. It is ironic, too, as their dads are brothers, but they look like their moms! Every time we are together, we always have to take a picture together...we will have years of these layouts. See that wave? It is canvas. It is SO COOL! Next is another summer layout. This is Kiley on a paddleboat at our friends cabin. The muted water color made this a perfect photo choice for this line. The pocket is now full of all the things that she loves about her summer experiences with my friends daughter and the weekends that we spend at their cabin. LYB has amazing embellishments, and this is one of my favorites. The last layout is a very simple and classic layout of Kendall when we went to see my Brewers play in Arizona for Spring Training. It was kind of a mistake shot, but I loved it, and wanted to highlight it with a layout that was simple and had clean lines. Lastly, I have to show you the product that I love the most from Little Yellow Bicycle...their mini-albums. This line has one that is mostly chipboard, and some acrylic. It is AMAZING. The neatest thing about it is the multiple shapes, and that there is a tablet that has papers already precut into the shapes that fit into the album. It makes is SO easy. You have more than one option, too, so you are not limited to their paper choices. Again, there is no journaling yet, as I prefer to have my children add their comments after I post them on line. PLEASE, to appreciate this album, click on it, and check it out in my gallery. Also, Angie is showing an alternate way to decorate this album in a class for the crop, so PLEASE check that out. You might want to order soon, though. They have already sold out once! In conclusion, I love this line. The colors are so well matched, and the embellishments are so incredible. I actually went back to order more things, and they were all sold out.
And I bet not even one of you that popped them in your cart is going to use them for Easter
