Sing a little song for me 7 comments
Using music as your inspiration!Posted by sarahwhithers The fabulous team of Britt (milmomma), Sara (Keling) and Jen (sarahwhithers) have some music for your eyes today! We used music as our inspiration for our pages and had some of our digi CT teammates join in! For songs that inspire feelings when you hear them, sarahwhithers has this page done with a song that she finds gets her emotional on that last line.
For one of milmommas pages, she knew she had to use this song as a title. She even knew the perfect topic/photos she had.
Our guest CT this month, Susanne_79, she chose Janice Joplin`s "Me and Bobby Mcgee" with is one of her favorite songs right now.
Keling chose the Hall & Oates' song, "Sara Smile," which was released just a couple of months before she was born and ended up being a 'theme song' through her early childhood.
For Mommybruno, she took a stroll down memory lane by choosing the song Slipping Through My Fingers, by ABBA. It went perfectly with how she's been feeling lately, and was the perfect song to use showing different pics of Xander through the years.
For this page, sarahwhithers heard this song on the radio and thought, gosh that would make a great scrapbook page title. haha! So that's what she did!
Milmomma chose to do a typical song that she hears on tv all the time in South Korea. At first it drove her nuts, now she finds herselfsinging along with it all the time!
Keling had these photos taken at The Deep, an aquarium in Hull, UK, which was a great inspiration for an Under The Sea page, taken from the movie, The Little Mermaid.
MamaK321 not only used the song, she based the entire layout on part of her love of music. She's a GleeK, and loves the show! The mash-ups, the harmonies, and how it reminds her of all the fun times she had in choir growing up.
After Keling went through some of her photos, the song "You've got the cutest little baby face" popped into her head when she saw this photo of her great-nephew!
For this page, sarahwhithers went with a line from the song feeling Good by Michael Buble. One of the verses in the song, "And this old world, is a new world" makes her think of how the snow changes how the world looks. She finds it makes it look like a whole new world.
Music is such a wonderful expression of feelings. And Milmomma used this wonderful classic Thank You For Being A Friend by Andrew Gold for a thank you card she needed to make. It fit perfectly with what she wanted to express.
So get out there, find a song that inspires something in you and get scrapping!! :) Posted by sarahwhithers Reader Comments ... 2/26/11 7:03 pm
