Below is a handful of layouts that have been made using some of the newest digital kits available here at the Digital Shoppe at A Cherry On Top. It is filled with kits that can help you finish up any Christmas layouts that you may need to make, help you plan some around the "love" holiday, as well as more general and every day themes.
Jenn is featuring "Globe Trotting" by Tallula Moon Designs with this layout. She says that the kit caught her eye because of "all the awesome stuff in it" plus she has a few travel pictures. "And the kit did not disappoint!"
Egle wrote, "This is ONE of the handful of pictures that my daughter passed on to me that my dad took of the kids on Thanksgiving this year. It is also the one that they framed for me for Christmas. I absolutely loved it...and wanted to create a layout showing them how I feel about them.
I thought that using the colors from the "Love You" kit by Mouse Bunny Nibbles was perfect to add the slight touch of color by keeping the rest of it in the black and white color scheme. I made the date "stamp" from the "Date Me: A Circular Date Marker Kit," also from Mouse Bunny Nibbles. Instead of coloring the date information pieces I opted to keep it gray toned, to fit the mood of the rest of the layout."
Here's a little secret. Mouse Bunny Nibbles' designer is Egle. She is trying her hand out at designing digital kits.
"For the digi reveal this week I decided to get into the Valentine spirit and make up a couple cards! And as you can see I went with a bit of a geek theme. The kit I used, "From My Heart To Yours," by Hot Flash Designs, was perfect with its selection of alphabets and its rich, dark colours!" wrote Jenn. Her other Valentine card, which is also in the gallery, can be seen here.
Egle recalls taking pictures of her parents' poochies while she was babysitting them. It was the puppy's first time in the snow! She writes, "For this layout I used Julie Mead's "Snow Kissed" and "Snow Kissed Font with Bonus!" to highlight the pictures I used. I threw in an embellishment / element from her "Curious Page Dividers" as well and made an arrow out of it. I reduced the opacity on the large picture so that it would blend in more with Julie's background paper that I chose.
Kristianne wrote, "I have picked up reading since last summer and my favorite part is sharing books with others. My sister and I are currently sharing a series and we trade the books off, taking turns reading. A couple other series we have in e-version and makes it much easier to share. My husband, daughter, sister and I are all reading one series while another, I am sharing with two sisters. I like bantering about the plot, our favorite characters, and how we think the book will end. It m makes reading much more fun.

With the winter season approaching us and the year ending, the digital designers at A Cherry on Top fill our digital shoppe with seasonal goodies! Here is a sampling of what the Digital Creative Team has done to showcase these for you!
Jennifer says, "For the digi CT reveal this week, I thought I would try out Crisdam Designs' new Project December The Kit. I have loved all the monthly kits she's come out with, and December is no exception. What a great way to end off the year!"
Egle wrote, "I love Silvia's designs when I am looking for that just right "soft" feel to a layout I am designing. Her stuff is just that! Here I used her "In the Gloaming Kit" kit as well as some papers from her "Dreaming of Christmas Kit" kit. Dare I even say that it has the romantic feel to it? Okay, not that I need "romance" for a picture of me and my mom....but it fits, I guess...because of my love for her! ;o) It is great to be able to combine her kits as they work well with each other. And how perfect was it to get Peggy Brutcher's alphabet, Mirror Ball Alpha, to work here as well..... I also used one of Bella Gypsy's sketches, Sketchology: Cocoa Comfort. I sometimes alter the sketch to get the look I want!"
Click on the link to see Egle's other layout, Frosty With A Pig Ear. See how she used Seasonal Stamps by Julie Mead to make a creative paper which she used for a border on this layout. She used Bella Gypsy Designs' Cocoa Comfort for the bulk of this layout, as well as some items from Silvia Romeo's kit, In the Gloaming Kit.
Cassandra says, "I have these great parrot pics from a party we went to, and I was looking for a good kit to scrap them with. Bella Gypsy's Forest Friends kit was perfect - the colors matched up so well with the pics, and I love the subtle texture they have. The picture of me is noteworthy because for several years of my life, including high school and college, I was terrified of birds. Any kind of birds. And now I'm not, for no discernable reason. For the record, I'd only asked for one bird but she put all three on me. LOL!"
Kristianne comments, "The rich colors in the Believe kit by Hot Flash Designs are fitting for the mood I wanted with these photos of my parents taken while tree hunting. I looove Marci's Believe Stacked Papers! They are done up beautifully and don't require any extra embellishment. I did add one of Julie Mead's exquisite brushes (from Seasonal Stamps by Julie) to sum up the journaling & title."

Peggy Brutcher rocks the digital alphabet world with her "Alphabet Soup" line! Have you seen ALL of the different ones available? They range from wooden designs to metal ones. They are all just so unique looking. Her kits, whether they are filled with papers and elements or just elements, really work well when used on layouts or hybrid projects! Peggy is great at putting her themed kits out there for us to use!
Look how Egle, Cassandra, and Kristianne used "All Hallow's Eve Free paper pack" and "Pumpkin Alpha Freebie" from Peggy. Kristianne also added the Spooky frame as well on hers. But, what else is very neat about these layouts is what else we did or did not add to them. Kristianne opted to just add another designer's paper tear to hers, but Egle and Cassandra grabbed other items from Peggy's other digital kits and got them to work well with these Halloween themed items from Peggy's freebies! It is always amazing when kits from the same designer can be mix-and-matched on one layout!
Look how Jennifer, Cassandra, and Kristianne worked with Peggy's alphabets. It is easy to combine all of the different looks of them for cohesive and unique layouts!
Here, I used some items from smaller themed embellishment kits that Peggy sells to show how those could be used on a layout and even in a hybrid project!
So, go take a peek at Peggy Bruthcher's items in ACOT's shoppe and see what you can do with them!
