Started scrapping after our 3rd trip to Jamaica when I decided I wanted to do something "more than just put all my pictures in albums." It took a while for me to get over not having every page use the same kind of papers (like a theme album) but once I did, I realized the uniqueness of my albums was reflected in all the papers and embellies I chose. Since October 2004, I have amassed about 25 albums of my own and I have made and given away 7! I LOVE THIS STUFF! I started in the living room and then moved to a picnic table in the basement - in the summer I burn up and in the winter I freeze - but it's a great escape! When I was 18 I learned Pagemaker and then Photoshop when it came out. I hadn't used them for years then I found A Cherry On Top and saw all the wonderful layouts being done digitally and realized it was time to "re-learn" them. I like digi scrapping for posting on my blog and my mom likes the layouts for her "brag" book because they are less bulky and she can carry her grandkids everywhere with her! Having one of my layouts chosen for the digital guest designer was a thrill! My only regret? I have to work for a living - where was all this when I was a stay at home mom 15 years ago?
