Hello, My name is Cathy. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I'm 37 years old married to Steven for 15 years. We have one son, Thomas age 14. I'm currently working part time (in a local craft store) to keep up with my scrapbook habits..lol. My family and I live in Colorado now for the last 5 years. Quite a change from the "East Coast"! I started in 1997, thanks to my cousin. She had a scrapbook representative at her house, and that's when the whole thing started. It's been a ride ever since! I scrap like my mood. Sometimes, just simple layouts will do. Other times I like to try new and exciting ones. I would love to have a pen pal, so feel free to drop me a line anytime. My Scrapping Style~Mostly simple, but getting daring to try new things Album size? 12 x 12, would try 8x8 Color choices? all Kids? 1 son Thomas What ages? 14 Pets? no (My son adored his aunt's dog, so I scrap her too Update*RIP Peace "Meadow") My birthday is February 5th Anniversary is April 3rd Other interest beside scrapbooking, I love photography! I like to take pictures, (helps with scrapbooking LOL) all different kind of music, movies, candles, trinket boxes, The New York Yankees! I love to read books, and also write short stories. My Scrapping Style: Depends on my mood! I sometimes like simple layouts, but also like to get lumpy and intricate. Album size? 12X12 mostly, I?m starting an 8 x 8. Color choices? Purple is my favorite color! I usually enjoy bright colors. I?m looking to try different shades of green, browns, earthtones. Since I?ve moved to a mountain area, I need to start doing more wilderness tones, instead of the beach colors I?m usually doing. What kind of layouts are you going to be working on in the future? boys pages, baseball, bowling, school days, nieces, cousins, family get togethers, holidays, birthdays, Disney/Florida/beach pages, still working on my wedding album (colors are amethyst, silver/pearl & black) Girlie pages!! My cousins have all girls, love to do some girl pages. Do you have a sizzix? NO I do have a QUICKUTZ & CRICUT. Do you like cute stuff? I like cute stuff sure Heritage? Yes, I need to get my butt in gear and get going on them. Do you use diecuts? Yes. I'm starting to love chipboard Lumpy or not lumpy? Both, depends on what I?m doing at the time LOL Anything you won't use? I don't use eyelets much anymore Favorite designers? Basic Grey, Chatterbox, Doodlebug, Karen Foster, DCWV, American Traditional Designs, just to name a few. Anything you are wanting to try? too many to mention! I would like to try distressing, and stamping Do you stamp? yes , buying a few, but haven't used them much Chalk? a little bit Ribbon (unprinted/printed)? Both! Patches? never used Metal clips? yes Wooden embellishments? Layouts for myself and for my family and friends. What is your least favorite type of item to make? Not sure Do you use journal boxes on a regular basis? I do use them but need to use them more often Do you use borders on a regular basis? Yes Do you use titles on a regular basis? (By titles I mean those that you make on a separate piece of paper and then adhere to the background. So, it doesn't include just adhering letters to the background.)Yes Do you use embellished tags on a regular basis? Sometimes, would like to try that more What is your greatest scrapbooking weakness? Finding the time, sometimes trying to find motivation! What is your favorite paper theme (i.e., floral, stripes, plaid, fun themes, solids)? All different themes Other than time and money (which we all need more of), what is your greatest scrapbooking challenge? Keeping everything organized. There?s nothing worse than getting the right motivation and inspiration, and can?t find the materials you set aside for it.
