Bio
I am a nurse in real life and work in a teaching hospital. I have a 22 year old daughter Megan who will be graduating from Creighton University in December and I couldn't be prouder of her. My son David, is 21 and has Asperger's syndrom. He lives with me and works at the movie theater and is the "dog sitter" during the day while I work. It is good for him to keep busy and he is learning responsibility, and is proud that he is the dog sitter. We have now a combined total of 6 Yorkies and two tiny babies from a recent litter. My daughter is going to "find a place when she graduates" and will take her 3 furbabies with her...which will leave me with 4!!! We also have two cats and a rabbit..( my daughter couldn't say no to a friend of hers who have to rehome it) Yes,,we are animal lovers and they are my grandbabies and the source of much of my scrapbooking. Oh I can't forget Pixie..she is my little minature Rat Terrior too..kind of the odd man out, but she is a little doll baby too. I spend my days caring for the sick and my evening entertaining my fur babies and scrapping. Just waiting for retirment...which is a while away..but still looking forward to it. I am a very eclectic scrapper and maybe do things a little different than most I guess. I really want to learn to digi scrap..but don't think I could learn it on my own. Maybe someday. My home is a small, comfy place and is decorated in all second hand stuff that I have either found at flea markets ( I LOVE FLEA MARKETS) or on the curb,,(yep on the curb) or at sales. I redo them or leave them shabby whatever fits the mood. such as an old dresser I found and dismantled and put it made it into a headboard for my bed. Being a single mom for the last 17 years I have never really been able to afford new stuff, so I decided to go all vintage. It is great and and love the look of it.I Used to teach scrapbooking at Archievers (but it was too far to drive) and have been on several DT in the past also which I totally loved for the challenge and inspiration of it and the excitment. I used to submit to magazines and have been published in MM,CK and Legacy, but haven't even submitted for the last few years. I am a pack rat at heart and lack in organizational skills though...but the only thing I can say about that is that is that "being unorganized is cool, cuz you are always finding new and exciting things"..my motto. My passion is creating things and my kids and furbabies are my life..Jamaica is my antidepressant and someday I will go back..I hope.
