Birthday � November 15, 1972 Anniversary � not married, but it would�ve been Dec. 21, 2007 had I not found out he was cheating � thank goodness for idiots who don�t know how to cover their tracks =) About Me: I work two jobs: one full time, one part time. I go to school full time. I have two cats: a senior Siamese and a two year old punk. About scrapping: How long scrapping: I�ve always journaled and arranged photos �creatively� and in my photo albums but started using actual SB supplies in the late 90s. Then I got sidetracked and took a long break and started dabbling it again 4 years ago when my ex�s daughter was living with us every summer. Sizes: all sizes, mostly 12X12 postbound�transitioning to 12x12 3-ring. I find a way to use everything no matter what size it is. If I like it, I�ll make it work. Favorite Subject: My nephews, my cats, everyday life Favorite Themes: Travel, Life in general Colors I tend to use: Neutrals but I love brights and try to use them more often. Colors I like: My favorite color is purple, but I don�t use it often in layouts. I also like other jewel tones: deep red and blue, silver. Favorite Companies: Don�t have a heart attack: I don�t pay much attention to companies Favorite Products: I�m an adhesive junkie. Since my scrapping goes in spurts I�m always buying more. Would like to try: digi Don't use a lot of: lumpy stuff, messy stuff but I�m not opposed to it (I�ve just gravitated toward a really simple style) There is SOOOOO much that I haven�t tried but have always wanted to � that�s why I LOVE to surf the gallery and thumb through magazines and idea books. Yes What is your favorite type of item to make? Lately, I�ve mostly been doing cards, tags and gift albums. What is your least favorite type of item to make? I�m horrible at straight lines but I prefer a linear style so templates are my friend. Do you use journal boxes on a regular basis? Pretty regularly Do you use borders on a regular basis? Yes Do you use titles on a regular basis? (By titles I mean those that you make on a separate piece of paper and then adhere to the background. So, it doesn't include just adhering letters to the background.)Yes, when I have the right one Do you use embellished tags on a regular basis? No, but I should try it What is your greatest scrapbooking weakness? Getting behind because I start things and don�t finish them. Sometimes I just can�t commit to the glue step. They sit under plexi on my desk and then I give up. What is your favorite paper theme (i.e., floral, stripes, plaid, fun themes, solids)? I love stripes and plaids but don�t always use them Other than time and money (which we all need more of), what is your greatest scrapbooking challenge? Realizing that finishing would be better than perfection. I need to be less picky about my finished product. Currently working on: Remember the �creative� albums I started out in? They were magnetic pages. I�m working on restoring them. They are mainly photos from my childhood (70s/80s) and from when my oldest nephew was born in �94. Subjects/Themes would be: summer camp, cheerleading (red/white), band trips: Nashville / New Orleans / Washington DC, girl scouts, newspaper, HS graduation. I�m also trying to get going on a Disney World album. Sorry if there are repeats...I'm just pasting SS polls here. Birthday - Nov. 15 Anniversary - none Kids - none (but I have two attention-hogging cats, both female: one Siamese, one "mutt") Favorite Colors - Purple and other jewel tones (my bedroom is done in these colors). I also like bright summery colors like orange/yellow/green (my kitchen is in these colors) I tend to use these colors along with neutrals/earth tones in my scrapping. Do you - paper scrap - yes digital scrap - am experimenting with this (hope to be proficient within the year) both - so far I use the computer mainly for titles and journaling Preferred Layout Size - 12x12 for personal albums, smaller (8x8 and 6x6) for theme/gift albums. If I like a paper, I will find a way to make it work on whatever I'm working on. Favorite Companies/Designers - I don't pay much attention to companies/designers so I'll take a look at the styles I like and update later. Do you use - ribbon- yes (especially on other projects: tags, cards, etc.) fiber- haven't used it, would like to try metal embellishments- just bought a crop-a-dile...can't wait to start using it! diecuts- yes paint- no glitter- no, I don't like the mess (but I love glitter papers) chalk- have never tried because it seems messy, but I like the look alcohol inks- never tried stamping- yes Any items you will not use - I will try anything though I tend to stay away from "messy" stuff because I make enough of a mess before I add ink, glitter or chalk Anything you would like to try- See above. Digi gals- please list any other places that you frequent for kits, etc. I'm not sure if you can put kits on a wish list here or not.... Hopefully, this will make it easier. So far, I've only downloaded free kits since I don't even know where to start on this adventure. So...anything "basic"/good for beginners would be appreciated! Do you like lotion? If so what kind and scents do you wear or like? Yes, my hands are very dry so I'm always looking for a great lotion. I like vanilla and mint. I shy away from those containing a lot of alcohol. Do you like Candles, if so what kind and scents do you prefer? I candles!! Anything that smells like food will go over well with me but for some reason I'm not big on chocolate scents...guess I'd rather eat it than smell it. Do you paint your nails, if so what colors are you more likely to wear? I rarely paint my nails but when I do I use very pale barely there pinks or very deep dark reds. Do you like to travel if so whats your favorite place you have been to? I love to travel - some favorite places are Disney World and Las Vegas because you can go over and over and still find new things to see and do. What do you decorate your livingroom/familyroom in do you have a theme and colors? No theme...unless cat hair is a theme. Its mostly hand me down furniture which I hope to replace someday with a couch in either a maroon or deep purple. Or, if I can't commit to such a bold choice, a nice sage. Besides scrapbooking what other hobbies do you have? I bought a DSLR last year and hope to take some classes this year to become a better photographer. I also to read. I am a little obsessed with it and have bookshelves in every room of my home (except the bathroom and laundry rooms.) Whats your favorite flower and color? Tulips in red, purple or yellow - love them in bright colors! Whats your favorite color? Purple What color/s or style is your bedroom? Dark wood furniture with purple - this is my bedding: What color/s or style is your bathroom? Currently my shower curtain is yellow/blue/green blocks with big white flower outlines scattered about. I switch it out with a cream colored one with lavendar and sage leaf patterns in it. Do you like frames is so what kinds wood, glass colored? I like frames. My frames don't match and I don't need them to - I like the ecletic look of my collection because many of them have been gifts and have special meaning. Do you collect anything? Do fuzzy socks and pajama pants count? I like to be comfy so I love to have warm fuzzy socks and cute lounge/pj pants to wear around the house. If you got a Gift Card to one place besides scrapbooking where would you love to have one from? A bookstore because for as much as I love to read, I rarely pay full price for a book. I usually buy my books at Half Price Books so I love getting "regular bookstore" gift cards so that I have a reason to go in and browse there. Crate & Barrel and Williams-Sonoma are great too because while I don't shop there regularly, I look to browse and I can always find little things that I would love to have but can't justify buying for myself.
