A few tidbits about me - my birthday is August 28 (not big on astrology but Mom says I am a true Virgo like my grandmother), my official wedding anniversary is on July 10 (8 years in 2007). Other interests besides scrapbooking are reading, genealogy, computers, movies and horses. I run a user forum here at ACOT called "The Movie Critic" where you can read and post about movies you've seen or want to see. We take requests for reviews over there as well. My Scrapping Style Album size? At this point anything goes. Color choices? Usually determined by photos and/or theme Kids? None Pets? We lost our dear Benno last year to the dreaded cancer. He was a 13 1/2 year old Rottweiler, and we miss him dearly. The house is emptier without him. What kind of layouts are you going to be working on in the future? We like to travel, so there's always that, plus I am the genealogist in my family, so there's the heritage layouts. I'm tackling all these years worth of Disney photos (starting at the age of 4). Of course although I made a honeymoon album for us (the first scrapbook I ever made) making my wedding album still scares me 9 years later (am I good enough for the most special event in my life), and the list goes on. Do you have a sizzix? Yes - dies I have are: alphabet - Lollipop alphabet (upper case and numbers), Fun Serif (upper and lower case) red dies - Bookplates, Designer; Bottles, Glass & Corks; Frames, Square combo; Pocket; Charms, Funky Squares; square combo (original); tag - traditional yellow dies - Medium Balloons; Confetti; clock hands green dies - Bubbles; Star; Moon; cube Sizzlits - party set 2, tags - small, Vintage, Flowers Do you like cute stuff? Yes Heritage? Yes Do you use diecuts? Yes Lumpy or not lumpy? More not, just because I like my albums to lay flat, so I keep lumpy to a minimum and tend to go more with things that look lumpy but aren't. Although I'm addicted to Jolee's. Anything you won't use? I don't like wire and not too big on bottlecaps. Favorite paper designers? Sam Butcher (Precious Moments lines), Favorite digital designers? Katie Pertiet, Katie the Scrapbook Lady, and Michelle Bradley, just to name a few Favorite brands: American Crafts is awesome, I'm also partial to Junkitz, We R Memory Keepers, and KI Memories Anything you are wanting to try? Everything - I want to be able to do EVERYTHING. That's going to take a little while. Do you stamp? More now that I've invested in some clear stamp sets - so much more fun than rubber stamps. Chalk? YES, love it - both the chalk blocks and chalk pencils, and also distress ink and liquid chalks (Cats Eyes by Colorbox and Technique Tuesday inks are my favorite brands) Ribbon (unprinted/printed)? Both Patches? Yes Metal clips? No Wooden embellishments? No Library pockets/cards? Yes Buckles (metal/palstic)? No Twist ties? No Decorative brads? Yes, love these, it's not possible to have too many brads. Twill (unprinted/printed)? Yes Fabric? Yes Bottlecaps (plain/printed)? No Rick Rack? Sometimes Canvas embellishments? Yes Color washes? Not yet Walnut ink? Yes Liquid chalk ink pads? Yes Acrylic paints? YES YES YES Foam stamps? Yes Regular stamps? Yes, especially clear/acrylic What is your favorite type of item to make? Tags What is your least favorite type of item to make? Borders Do you use journal boxes on a regular basis? Yes Do you use borders on a regular basis? Sometimes Do you use titles on a regular basis? (By titles I mean those that you make on a separate piece of paper and then adhere to the background. So, it doesn't include just adhering letters to the background.) Sometimes Do you use embellished tags on a regular basis? (and by that I mean those that you embellish yourself.) Yes Do you use paper piecings on a regular basis? Yes Do you use shakers on a regular basis? No Do you use deco squares on a regular basis? Yes Do you use serendipity squares on a regular basis? No What is your greatest scrapbooking weakness? Buying items and then not using them (either I like them too much to use - waiting for the perfect page, or I can't find a fit with my current style) What is your favorite paper theme (i.e., floral, stripes, plaid, fun themes, solids)? Stripes and Plaids because both allow easier journaling by the built in lines. Other than time and money (which we all need more of), what is your greatest scrapbooking challenge? Knowing where to start - too many pictures to choose from. Also I feel like I lean to the linear, I want to get out of the straight line rut. Non-scrapbook stores - Books a Million, Amazon.com (DVDs and music), Dots (clothes - stylish but at a bargain), Walmart (well that's both scrapping and other stuff), Bath & Body Works (love their Warm Vanilla Sugar line, as well as their lip balms and hand soaps) Last updated: 4/4/07
