September Size Matters Challenge Winner!!!

Postby JillinIN » Sat Sep 02, 2017 1:24 am

So many awesome submissions this month! I love what everyone did with the small paper pads.
And the winner is..... chosen by randm.org............ are you ready?...........

Number 11...... Joannie!!

I'll get a gift card to you soon Joannie. Please let me know when it arrives.

This is called the Size Matters Challenge because it will require something big or small or a combination of both.
There may or may not be a twist each month.

This month's challenge is Little paper. Use only paper from those cute little 6x6 paper pads on your layout. Exception - your foundation cardstock and a small amount of two solids if needed.

The Twist - Use an old tool that you haven't used in a while: a wavy blade, an older diecut or punch, a paper crimper, etc.

Here are the rules:
•You may combine with ONE other September challenge that allows combining.
•Multiple entries are allowed. But please limit it to 3.
•For layouts only- Paper or digi, Must be new.
•Due Date: LAST DAY OF  September, 11:59 PM EST
•There will be a random drawing for a $5 ACOT GC  from all participants who have completed the challenge.

Here's my sample. All the 3x3 squares and PP embellies are from a 6x6 paper pad. The green and pink that the watermelons and title are made from are solid cardstock. I pulled out some old yellow sizzix dies to cut the watermelon and primitive hearts.

Awesome challenge, Jill! I just saw my crop-o-dile in my drawer the other day & thought it's been a long time since I used it, lots of punches, too. Putting this on my to do list for Sept.!

Yay - I'm a "little" obsessed with 6x6 pads and I've got plenty of old tools collecting dust.  Love your sweet sample!!

I only have one 6x6 Pad and it's the ugliest Christmas paper.  I've had it since 2006.

The only paper pad was a Christmas one from 2006.  I cut it up into squares.  I used an old Stampin' Up punch also.

This is a great challenge. I have ideas already in my head and since I havnt used my Cameo in about 6-7 months I'm probably going to drag that out to use!

Here is mine...combined with the Mood Board Challenge.  The tool I used was two of my small circle punches.  I don't think I would have used them had it not been for this challenge and now I am totally loving them again!  So thanks for the push!!

Here's mine using a My Mind's Eye 'Lucky in Love' 6x6 pad + older tool. I used an older border punch I haven't used forever!

Here's another using using 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad and Cardstock for the background. My old tool is the Bazzill Stitching Template, Floss, Paper Piecer. It's been so long since I hand-stitched that I even pricked my finger.

Here's my 3rd and final one using only 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad. My old tool is a Photo Corner Punch.

For the Size Matters Challenge I used solid brown background, solid blue photo mat. For my 6*6 pad I used Simple Stories-So Rad and BoBunny-Dots. **Twist** For an old tool I used a corner rounder from Creative Memories that I have had since 2000/2001. I combined with the Foodie Challenge.

Thanks for the fun challenge, Jill!  I used up some of my 6x6 Echo Park Getaway paper pad on a cardstock background.  The tool I dug out that I haven't used in a long time is my Tim Holtz paper edge distresser.
