Maddie on Halloween in 2010. She was just 2 years old and my dd brought her over to trick or treat. She looked so adorable, and Boomer was looking for treats too. TFL!
Journaling reads: Maddie looked so adorable when she came to Trick or Treat on Halloween dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. She was carrying a little basket with Toto inside and was wearing the cutest red shoes, and her hair was braided in pigtails with sweet little bows. She enjoyed getting her treats, and Boomer was looking to see if he could get some treats too. He did of course.
I made the yellow brick road with paper from Hot Flash Design's Heartbeat at my Feet kit. I resized it and recolored it yellow. Then I clipped it to a scalloped shape from Traci Reed's Scalloped shapes. I also shadowed the scallops separately from the "road" to make them look like the road is outlined in scalloped bricks.
I was also so happy to find the kit Over the Rainbow by Snips and Snails Designs that contained a lot of elements for the Wizard of Oz theme!
Papers and elements from these kits: Over the Rainbow (Snips and Snails Designs), Heartbeat at My Feet (Hot Flash Designs), Trick or Treat (Mary Fran), Scary Nights (Kay Miller), It's Raining Flowers and It's Raining Flowers Add-On (Jumpstart Designs), Pumpkin Parade (Heather Roselli), Lucky You (Julie Bullock), I Want Candy (Sherri Tierney), Scalloped (Traci Reed), Everyday Life Paper Frames (Lindsay Jane), Blue Jean Blues (Beckah E Designs), and Enjoy (Designs by Krista)
