Description

These are some photos taken from inside my windows, during the freak snowstorm we had at the end of March! LOL! I had a tough time with the overlay, because I use Microsoft PhotoDraw and the one thing it doesn't let me do is merge layers. So, I played with the transparency of the overlay, increased the brightness and bumped the contrast way up on the photo, so the grey center wouldn't dull down my photo, and then grouped the two layers together (which allows me to move it as one, but doesn't really blend them.) I'm pretty satisfied with the result. What do you think?

Journaling reads:
The last thing we were expecting at the end of March, 2008, was 20 inches of
snow! At school that day, it had already started snowing, and the flakes were coming
down thick and fast. All my students could think about was whether we would get
sent home early. We did get sent home at 1:00 in the afternoon, and the roads were
already covered with about 5 inches of snow. By Saturday afternoon, we had a
record for a 24-hour period of 20 inches. The news stations were calling it a blizzard,
even though, technically, it wasn't, because the winds weren't high enough. Mike,
Paisley, and I stayed inside for the most part, thankful for our cozy home and our warm fire!
