This is for a challenge on another board to scrap about our birthdays. I'm a Jehovah's Witness and because of our beliefs, don't celebrate birthdays...so I scrapped about that instead! :)
Journaling: So, I don’t celebrate my birthday. I’m nearly 26 and have never celebrated a single one. When I was a child, I was teased and asked if I missed it, but to tell you the truth, I didn’t miss it! For me, I’m a year older, but without all the fanfare and celebrating...it’s just another day. Because I don’t celebrate birthdays, though, you won’t hear me say “happy birthday” to anyone, or sing the birthday song. I’m not being rude, I’m just sticking by my beliefs! I know people think that it’s weird, but this is how I was raised, and I made the choice for me and my family to follow these beliefs.

This is great! The colours are beautiful! When i first saw this I instantly thought of Alice in Wonderland where at the tea party they are all singing the un birthday song! Now I have it stuck in my head! |
