Description Hi, Ladies. Thanks for taking a peek! This is my submission for the SS#7 Challenge.
My (hidden under quote - using hinges) verbiage reads: "Justin, here you are at a little more than 1 year old. You, your dad, and I had driven up to Galena, IL to visit Papa and Grams (dad’s parents). These pictures were taken at the Mississippi Palisades State Park (Rt. 84, 2 miles North of Savanna, IL). We drove out there to spend some time walking along the trails, having a picnic lunch, and playing in one of the playground areas. I found out that “palisades” is the word used to describe a line of lofty, steep cliffs, usually seen along a river. I know you were too young to remember this, but we did walk up to one of the lookout points…and it was a bit scary. I hope that when you look back at these pictures you do remember the fun that you had with your dad and Papa, especially when all three of you were playing in the sand. All I can say is, “Like grandfather, like father, like son!” Always remember!"
The DCWV vellum quote reads: "TREASURE There comes a time in every righly constructed boy's life when he has a raging desire to go somewhere and dig for hidden treasure. ~ Mark Twain ~ "
Items used:
Patterned Paper - Creative Imaginations (Teri Martin #8325 Friendship Wash), Cardstock - unknown, Vellum Quote - Die Cuts With A View (Sentiments, I believe), Rub-ons - Making Memories (Remember package for "remember this" and Simply Stated - "Heidi" alphabet white for "Lift," and Pastel brads, Offray sheer ribbon, beads, hinges, "Happy" plastic oval word on picture (unknown), Therm O Web - double sided super tape to make my own photo corners (with beads attached), and Stampin' Up! Dimensionals to lift the "journaling" section because of the hinge bulkiness.
Thanks, again, for looking...and leaving a comment!
