Description For Labor Day weekend in 1953 the pride of the US Navy fleet - four WAVES stationed in Boston that included my mother and her cousin, obtained a weekend pass and took the train to Montreal.
These pictures were taken using some of the first Kodak color film. They had greatly faded with age. What you are seeing is my first attempts at photo restoration. Only 2 of the photos could I restore the color, the others I had to convert to black&white.
Ma's challenge was to use your own handwriting in a layout. Since I couldn't find "the alpha" right for the job, I wrote the title myself - and messed up!! The other handwriting is my mother's. I scanned what she had written on the back of the pics and printed it out to use for journaling.
